So I was thinking about how in the PJO series, Riordan uses dyslexia to explain why demigods can read Greek- Ancient Greek, but Greek nontheless. Which makes "sense", considering that most Americans don't know how to read languages like Greek and Russian. But most Americans read English - the country's de facto language - a language based off of Latin and uses the same script. Which brings up the question of whether or not Roman demigods have dyslexia by default because of how similar Latin and English are. They're not the same, of course, but they're still pretty close, and Latin can be read (and interpreted) without much background with Latin itself, unlike the very "foreign" script found in the Greek language.
