Pain (Nov. 2009)
The only time I have ever seen,
But like something from a dream.
An emotion unexplained
Like a person with no name.
How do I explain these tearless eyes?
Even when a close friend dies.
This is just to say (Nov. 2009)
This is just to say
I have borrowed
Your ipod for
Just yesterday.
The music I loved,
Both old and new.
I enjoyed the tunes
I could dance to.
I charged it back up
And deleted no songs.
Forgive me,
I could not resist
Sticking those buds
Into my ears.
A rainy day (Oct. 2010)
Today there was rain
running all down my back,
and oh how the pain
if my fingers turned black.
In the puddles we splashed;
to the field oh we dashed,
and thank God it did stop
before we walked on,
but again it did drop
soon the breaking of dawn.
Then we sat in the stands
as we watched all the bands
who marched onto the turf
which was covered with rain.
Though they all looked like smurfs
they endured for the gain.
It was oh such a race;
we got even first place.
The only time I have ever seen,
But like something from a dream.
An emotion unexplained
Like a person with no name.

Even when a close friend dies.
