My summer was going horrible so far. First of all my best friend moved away and second I was abandoned by my dad. He sent me to the store to pick up a few things. When I came back he was gone. I ran to my room. I found a note on my bed that read:
Dear Annabeth,
I’m terribly sorry I left you. I just had too. I can’t give you a reason though. Go to camp half blood for this summer I promise you things will get better. I already called Chiron to let him know your coming. He will explain everything to you. I have to go.
Lots of love- daddy.
Yah there is a lot of love, dad, I thought to myself. Well at least I get to go to my favorite place on earth- Camp Half Blood! I will get to see Lily (daughter of Hermes), and Selina (daughter of Aphrodite). The letter just didn’t seem right. It looked like my dad really didn’t want to write it, but I wasn’t sure. I thought I’d better get going if I was going to make before sundown.
I had just got to camp half blood when something seemed wrong. No one was outside at the arena, or practicing archery. I went to the Athena cabin and found my siblings sitting on the bunk beds. “Why aren’t you guys practicing archery?” I asked. “Chiron ordered us to go to our cabins immediately.” Mike said. “Oh.” “He told us to tell you when you got here he needed to speak with you.” Kate said. “Ok. Well hopefully I will be back soon than.” And I ran out the door, because I knew it was about my dad.
