Jason Fenix's Bunk

Jason walked in, confused, yet determined to fit in here. Hopefully it'll be different here, he thought to himself. He walked over to and empty bed and put his belongings down. He was still in shock from what had just happened. He had always loved learning about mythology, but this was a bit much. His mother was just murdered by a harpy. Or at least that's what he thought it was. It seemed like everything he knew was starting to come crashing down. The weird part was, he didn't care. His mother had been a good person. He was sure she'd be judged fairly. He chuckled to himself, realizing that of all the things to be worrying about right now, he was worried about fitting in socially. He knew he should be worrying about being killed or maimed, but he wasn't scared of death. Just embarrassment and social rejection. There were a few people coming in and out of the cabin, but none of them seemed to notice him. Just then he realized he had a necklace on that he didn't have before. It was a guitar pick on a chain. Heh, well, weirder things have happened... He thought. He sat down on his bed, and promptly fell asleep. He awoke later to the sound of a heavy guitar solo coming out of his headphones which he forgot to take off earlier. He sat up, and felt a pang of hunger. He walked outside, and felt strangely at home.

I walked into the cabin and up to my new brother. "Hello I'm Templar" I said holding out my hand.

"Oh hello" Jason said as he shook the boy's hand. "I'm Jason, but most of my friends call me by my last name, Fenix. It's nice to meet you!"

"Yeah I know, I can see things" I said calmly.

"You can... See things?" Jason said, not quite understanding the comment.

"Since dad is the god of prophecies, I have the rare ability to see the future."

"Oh, right. Right.. I should probably get used to the weird powers deal around here shouldn't I?"

"Probably, many campers have really odd abilities, ranging from controlling elements to causing illusions."

"Hahaha, that sounds like it could be... amusing at times. I don't think i have any powers, but i wouldn't know, I just got here."

"Most children of Apollo have a really good shot with an arrow, I can see you do, and we are also great with healing, medicine, and music."

"Well, the music part, I'm aware of. I've always loved music, and I play a lot of different instruments. But it seems like most of those powers, except the bow and arrow part, seem like they wouldn't help much while being attacked by monsters... And wait, did you say you could see that I was a good shot? Do I do something totally awesome? I hope so. That'd be sweet..."

"I see.... a fight! At the Hera Cabin, you're welcome to come but I'm gonna try and stop it!"

"Oh? This doesn't sound good... Sure I'll tag along."

I sprinted out of the cabin, down to Hera's.

I walked in, sat down on my bed, and promptly fell asleep.
