Re: Nellie's bunk
I walked back in and flung my backpack down. I yawned, and left.

Re: Nellie's bunk
I walked back in. So Jack was dead. I was strangely not sad, like I didn't believe it. "He's dead," I said out loud, to myself. Was he really? He died of a monster attack, according to his grieving mom. A hellhound, that's what she said. I started to cry. I remembered bringing him here, going to the beach, walking around New York. It was still hard to believe his death. I lay down, still thinking.

Re: Nellie's bunk
I walked in. "Nellie, I brought you a box," I said.
I sat up. "Jack's crap, eh?" I sniffled.
"Yeah. We can burn some of the papers, and the arrows, and have a funeral service."
"Ok, let's go." I said. I left with Elise.
I left with Nellie.

Elise is going
We returned, and I told Nellie "I think I'll be leaving for my cabin. Inspection, you know."
I moaned. "I totally forgot about that!"
"Don't worry, you'll be fine," I said to her.
"Mmmkay." I opened a book and started reading.
I smiled and left. Of course this didn't bother me. I hardly knew him, and he seemed to blend in with everyone else. In a neutral way, he was just there. Now he wasn't, and already the air felt sour.
As soon as Elise left, I set the book down and closed my eyes. I could tell Elise didn't care. Or maybe she did, but she sure wasn't showing it. I guess she had better things to think about other than some dead kid. I closed my eyes and laid on my bunk, still awake, though.

Re: Nellie's bunk
I peeked in at Nellie's bunk. She was lying there.
I looked up at Sam. "Yes?"
"We're going to tour New Your," I told her. "You need air."
I sighed. "Why?"
"Look, Nellie, you need air. And space. It'll be fun."
I got up. "Okay."
We left.

Re: Nellie's bunk
I returned after a long while of...fun, I suppose. Gosh, I was so tired. I sat on my bunk for a bit, looking at a random magazine I found under my pillow. National Geographic. Reading the magazine made me think of home and the huge collection of magazines my dad had there.
I entered, a little nervous. "Hi Nellie," I said. "How's it going?"
I looked up. It was Elise. "Oh, good." I said. "How about you."
"Yeah, great." I didn't sound so enthusiastic. "Listen, I lust want to let you know that if I suddenly disappear tomorrow, I'm not dead."
I stood up and looked Elise in the eye. "What you said made no sense."
"What I mean is that if I'm gone tomorrow, or any other day, you shouldn't worry."
I was on high alert right now. Wait, what? Where are you going?! What are you up to?"
"I don't know, I just might be...uh...going out into New York tomorrow to sightsee and get yogurt." It was a pretty convincing lie.
"No, don't leave the camp without me," I said.
I nodded and left her cabin, running back to my own.
I watched Elise leave, extremely suspicious. Elise was not planning on going sightseeing. That was the stupidest lie I'd ever heard. Something was up with that girl, adn I would get to teh bottom of it. I climbed out of bed and followed the running Elise all the way to her cabin.
