"Whatever about that." I say, waving it away. "With or without baggage, I still..." Should I say it? Or wait for him to tell me first? "I still like you. Alot." I smile. I don't know what he'd do if I told him that I love him. It's probably too soon.

I slowly smile. "I love you, too." I reach up and kiss him. Relief floods through me. I'm happy he said it first; I didn't have the courage to. As I kiss him, I rest my hand on his cheek.

I nod happily. "Picnics are fun. Let's go." I sit up slowly, trying to clear my foggy mind.

I reveal my smile and get out of bed. I turn back to Derick and bend down to give him a quick kiss then walk towards the door. "I shall return!" I call over my shoulder as I leave.

I come back in a little later carrying the basket I got from the mess hall. I set it down on my nightstand and turn towards Derick. His brown skin in the light seeping through the window. Magnificent. "I grabbed as much food as possible." I smile.

I turn on my heel and head back out towards the Demeter cabin to fetch some clothes.

I come back in with Derick's clothes. "Success!" I say as I sit next to him on my bed and hand the shorts and tee shirt over. "Here you are."
