Life Before CHB: Matthew lived in Phoenix, Arizona. He was disliked at school, and picked on a lot. He was once arrested for accidentally shooting a cop with his bow. His house was normal, but out in the middle of nowhere, with no neighbors or nearby buildings. He was a loner all of his childhood, but he and his Mom occasionally took trips. He loved their trip to Egypt because of all the awesome history and mythology.
RP example: I got out of the car. My mom said this was a safe place, a camp. All I saw was strawberry fields, but when I walked through the gate, I saw all of it. Demigods, like me, were sword-fighting, painting, and forging weapons. "Awesome," was all I could say. I ran down the hill to a big house, and walked around. This place was truly amazing.
