Zane returned to his room and sat down on the bed. He decided to meditate and organize his thoughts for awhile.

Zane was annoyed when he heard the knock not wanting to be disturbed but when he realized it was Dez and Skylar he shadow traveled to the door and opened it almost ripping it off its hinges. "Gods Dez you really are alive! But how?" Zane hugged him tight for a good minute before pulling away to look at him. "Sky you look so much better now." He thought of her condition after Dez' death.
"Dez you can do the explaining but I want to tell him the other news." Skylar smiled at Dez with a loving gaze.

Dez nodded and smiled at Skylar lovingly, before turning back to his brother, Zane.
"It's great to see you, brother. I... was a shadow for about 3 months. But my timestream was slower, and 3 months for you and Sky was 3 years for me. Well... something happened, and I took a deal with a witch, daughter of Hecate, and it brought me back thankfully..." Dez shifted uncomfortably. "But enough of that. We both have some news for you," he smiled once again, clapping Zane on the shoulder quickly. "Ever wanted to be a best man?"

Skylar held up her left hand showing Zane her gorgeous ring. "We're getting married Zane and we want you to be the best man." she had a beautiful smile on her face. Skylar couldn't possibly have been any happier than she was right now.
"Whoa." Zane staggered just from the absolute shock of the events occurring. "I'm glad you're back bro, I missed you." he said with a faint smile still letting everything sink in. "An you guys are getting married as well..." Zane paused a moment "That's fantastic I'm so happy for you both." he gave Dez a quick man hug and then picked Skylar up and hugged her tightly. "You know I approve Sky." Zane said with a huge smile on his face as he put her down. "It's an honor to be the best man."
Skylar had never been happier in her entire life, and she wouldn't be again until their wedding day. She embraced both of her boys hugging them tightly. "I love you both so much." Skylar's voice was quiet but full of deep truthful feeling.

If not for the immensely comfortable and happy emotions he felt, Dez surely would have blushed. But with all the things happening lately, his life just felt great, and there was no need to be embarrassed. The people he loved were all beside him, and it couldn't have made him happier.
Overall though, it was Skylar. The girl of his dreams, and the love of his life, now his forever. It made him want to cry of happiness... he already had a bit of course.

"Honestly you two are perfect for each other. I can't wait for the wedding." Zane grinned happy for his brother and best friend.

Dez was about to speak when Skylar mentioned her family turning up to the wedding. He had no family... it reminded him of how his adopted parents always used to say that they couldn't wait until his wedding day... that it would be one of their proudest moments in their lives... they were gone now. All of his family were gone.
Dez snapped himself out of it. Well that wasn't true, not by a long shot. Let alone in this room he had his brother who he loved dearly, and his future wife who he will live by and grow old with. This life was still a damn lucky one, and be was going to live it to its full.
