Talking to Chiron

I smile big, thinking he would say yes.

"What for?"I said,"who is the person you know?"

"I know many. Some are older demigods who've left camp. Some live here in this very camp. Some are dead." Chiron looked at Katie, then Emily.

I smile bigger.

"Like..."I really needed to see that person.

"If you won't tell me why, Katie, I will not tell you who it is. And that is final." Chiron fiddled with a broken ballpoint pen on his desk.

I start yodeling.

"Fine, I found a Russian book under my bunk and I wanna read it," I said.

Chiron rubbed his temples, thinking for a moment. "A Russian book. You could go to the library and find a book on how to read Russian."

"Did I mention it's yellow?" I said.

"I don't like libraries. They scare me." I said in a whimpery voice.

"A yellow stone, Emily? Interesting." Chiron turned back to Katie, thinking for a moment. "Google Translator?"

ooc: And what is this book exactly?

"So? Do you want it?" I ask earnestly.

I look at him in the eye.He doesn't want to tell me!"Can't you just tell me who this person is and I'll go ask him to translate the book?" I ask.

ooc: A Russian Guide Book for something.

"I don't know if the person is still in camp." Chiron yawned, looked at the clock. He looked at Emily, and shrugged. "Offer it to your mother. Perhaps she'll take it."

"Um...where is she?" I asked. How am I supposed to find a goddess?"

"Well I could go check!" I said, a little irritated that he won't just tell me.

"You simply pray that she'd take it, Emily," Chiron said to her. "And the person probably is gone. Perhaps dead."

"And if she doesn't, I'll give it to you!" I said gleefully.

"But you said you know Russians that are at camp right now!" I said.

"Some don't remember any Russian. Some are very hostile people." Chiron rubbed his temples, tired of all this.

It took me awhile to notice but I think that girl needs someone who knows Russian. I wasn't listening much. Too bad I couldn't help. I only know Australian.

I noticed Chiron was getting tired. Time to take advantage...somehow."Do you know Russian?"

"Unfortunately not. One of the satyrs did, but he's away at Canada now."

"I can go to Canada! Can I take a quest?"

"Unfortunately not, Katie. The satyr will return in a few days, you can ask him then. His name is Oakland."

"Um... should I just go?" I ask, now thinking I'm intruding. Without waiting, I just leave.

"Please? What if he gets hurt?!" I ask desperately.

"He'll be fine, he just took a trip to visit his grandfather." Chiron drummed his fingers on his desk, a little impatiently now.

He was drumming his fingers now. Good."What if he finds an important half-blood? And then a HUGE monster attacks them and he dies?!" I said dramatically,"his grandpa would be so said!"

"He'll come back soon," Chiron told her flatly, still drumming on his desk. "He won't find a half-blood. Trust me."

"Uh oh."

"Uh oh what?" Chiron frowned at her, a bit annoyed. At this rate he'd have to kick her out.
