He put the box into her hands, "You can have it... I can make another one." he put a collar on the box, "Just put this on your cat..." he smiled, "In the box there is a little voice recording and a video cam... you can see from the back and front of the collar..." he smiled and stood up. Tristan stalked out and wheeled around. “What the hell, Darcy? The first time I see you in years and you act like your usual, homophobic self.”
Darcy stepped out of the threshold and raised an eyebrow. “So you are happy.”
“No! Drew and I, we’re just . . . y’know, friends! And anyway, that’s beside the point. What happened to you when Mom kicked me out?”
“She didn’t want to take any chances with me, either, so she shipped me off to a boarding school. Fun times.” Darcy said with a hint of bitterness in her voice.
Tristan felt a hint of sympathy with her for a moment, then squashed it down with memories of how she used to torture him. “So you stayed there for, what, two years? Wait, wait . . . you know who Dad is . . . right?”
Darcy smirked. “Do I know that our father is the Greek god of Doom? Yeah, I figured it out eventually. Look, I think we’ve caught up with each other enough, and we don’t want to keep that nice satyr waiting do we?” she stepped back inside.
