    ooc: You want control?
bic: The monster kicked me aside and howled in pain. It turned on Jim. I kept my eyes dimmly open to watched. I mentally scanned my body for injury. Two broken ribs. Two inch cut on my forearm, an inch one on my calf. My right wrist was fractured in three places. I focused on breathing and watched all that was happening.

The monster; I named him Pedro; dodged the cut and swatted at Jim. His jaw was, however, slightly grazed by the blade. A stream of blood trickled to the ground, staining the grass a strange blue color. Ew. I breathed deeply and tried to heal the cut on my forearm. It was draining me drastically and soon I had to struggle with staying conscious.

The scythe caught Pedro in the throat and, with a loud shriek, he started to disentegrate(god, I need spell check). I smiled weakly. "Yay..." I whispered. My energy was almost completely drained. I struggled to keep my eyes open.

Pedro was completely dead. I was truly impressed by Jim's bravery, which made me love him even more. My eyes closed slowly; my breathing ragged and shallow. I gritted my teeth in pain.

I opened my eyes a crack to see Jim's worried face. I smiled weakly and let out a broken chuckle that hurt my ribs. "Don't worry...I'm fine..." I whispered, lying. I was definately not fine.

A little voice inside my head told me I'd kill her if I tried to bring her all the way to the infirmary. But the lean to wasn't far. She might survive. I carefully walked over to the lean to it was almost a ten minute walk and I was terrified I'd puncture her lung.

I held as still as possible as we reached the lean-to. My wrist was killing me. My ribs were bad, but not as bad as other wounds my stepdad came home with. The cut on my forearm was only halfway closed, as far as I could go without completely passing out. Otherwise, I was pretty good. Though my breathing could use some work.

I put her on her sleeping bag. I didn't know what to do... I cleaned out the hideous cuts on her forearm and calf. I grabbed some gauze from my first aid kit and wrapped them carefully. "Where does it hurt? Can you point?" I asked trembling

I nodded. I lifted my left hand slowly and pointed to my right wrist, which was inflammed and limp-looking in places. I felt weak, like I let myself get hurt. Jim could've gotten hurt. I felt guilty.

"I-it's broken...!" I said quietly. I don't know how to deal with that... "I can wrap it to ease the pain, b-but we'll have to find a healer for that... I mean, I can set it as best I can..."

I smiled. "Why are you so stressed out?" I whispered. I laughed once then winced. I hurried to fix my face as not to make Jim anymore worried than he was now.

I wanted to jump back. To scream and cry but I couldn't. I heard three distinct clicks and began to wrap it. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," I whispered over and over again while tears of guilt rolled down my face.
