Caitlin got back on her feet. Jeez, hopefully no one saw that. She went over to the food table thing, got a plate, and dumped a boatload of grapes onto it.

Nate looked over, his eyebrows raised up questioningly. He wasn't exactly the friendly type, so he just ignored the plateful of grapes. He also felt bad for leaving Jacqueline, so he glanced over his shoulder, feeling even more stupid then ever.

Zayden laughed along with her. "You never know. I mean, they always like a pretty face to lead their company." He grinned widely. "And y'know, Engineering sounds really cool, too, except I'm not that much of a hands-on kind of a guy. Jacqueline looked up at Nate, but then realized her response was too late. She sighed sadly, ignored again and looked over at the food. Nothing here seemed too appetizing to her... She grabbed a goblet and it filled with water. At least water was still nice.

Jacqueline looked up. "Oh," she said softly as he cheeks turned scarlet. "It's okay." Her eyes turned back to the food, wondering if they had any chocolate.... she was feeling the need to indulge.
"That would be freakin' legit," Zayden agreed. "And then we'll be totally rich and awesome at... whatever we'd do." He grinned and his stomach rumbled. "I never actually grabbed food... huh? Man, no wonder I'm hungry."

Nate, not noticing, pulled up two chairs to a nearby table. He set down the tray, ruffling his black hair afterwards.

Jacqueline rung her hands together subconsciously, feeling a bit anxious. She nervously sat down next to him, hoping she was acting appropriately.

Spencer laughed a bit. "Well, lets get something to eat then shall we? I mean, this is the Mess Hall after all." She said as she stood up from her chair and dusted some stuff from her jeans, then pushed in her chair. She walked over to where they had all the food and grabbed a plate studying on what to get. She wasn't that hungry so she just grabbed some grapes and a bottle of water.

Zayden nodded and followed her lead. He grabbed a plate and started piling on food, accumulating strange layers of pizza, mashed potatoes, salad, steak, etc. After that plate was full, he grabbed another and piled it on in a similar way, planning to eat it all. Once he was satisfied, he brought the food back to the table with a goblet and set them down. The goblet filled with cherry coke as Zayden picked up his fork.
Jacqueline looked up at Nate, trying to decide how to respond to his offer. "Uh, no thanks..." she said softly, embarrassed.

Spencer sat down across from Zayden and stared at his gathering of food on his two plates. "You must have quite the appetite." She said, looking from her plate of grapes, to his huge piles of food. She cracked a smile. "Are you always this hungry, or are you just really hungry right now?" She asked as she picked up a grape and plopped it into her mouth, smiling at the sweet taste. "I haven't really seen anyone eat two plates of food...well, except for this one kid at my old school, but he was...er..different."

He shrugged. For being as thin as a twig, Zayden proved his fast metabolism by challenging this much food inside him.

"Yeah well, last time I heard, teenage boys were supposed to eat their greens so that they'll grow up to be strong and healthy boys." Spencer said with a grin. She's heard that many times on those cheesy family movies, but never really knew if it were true. "So where are you from Zayden? You don't really look like you're from Egypt, so you got to be from the U.S" She said jokingly.

Zayden chuckled and picked up a lettuce leaf with his fork and put it in his mouth. "There," he said between chews, "I ate my greens, happy?" He nodded as he swallowed. "Yeah, I'm from right here in New York, but my mom's got some Egyptian decent somewhere back there or something." He shrugged. "Besides, people who live in Egypt today have like no Ancient Egyptian ethnicity anymore." He shoved yet another mound of food in his mouth.
