by Jacqueline looked up slowly at the boy who sat next to her. For a moment she wished she had just stayed invisible, but soon forced herself to be okay with him sitting there. She blinked once before breaking her slight pause with a soft reply, "Jacqueline." She hadn't gotten up the courage to look him in the eye yet and just picked at her roll. She felt embarrassed for not having done her hair, or putting on any make-up today. It's not like she thought it made her look pretty, she just wanted to at least appear normal so she could easily hide alone among the crowd.

"Hecate as well," Jacqueline replied softly. If he were his brother, maybe that wasn't so bad. She really did need a friend around here so she wasn't quite so... invisible. Yet, most of the time she didn't mind being invisible.

I nod swiftly. "So, uh sis, can I call you that?" I ask. I eat a last slice of pizza then get a coke. I sit back down and comb my hair. I open my soda and drink some. I put my jacket back on, as it dries. I see a radio on our table and play some tunes. "I like this song" I say. I do a little dance to it.

Jacqueline nodded in response to his question. She looked at the radio, then at him. She wondered to herself why he would just randomly start dancing and would have asked if she weren't so timid. She just sort of sat there, listening. She picked at her roll a little bit, eating a small bit of it. She brushed hair that had fallen in front of her eyes behind her ears, but it was to no avail as a couple stands feel back into her line of sight.

I turned off the radio. "Sorry if you didn't like it" I say. I took my comb and continued to brush my hair. "Sis, you okay?" I ask and look her way, seeing couples. I smile and turn on rock music so good you had to dance. I started off dancing, and grabbed Sis. I spin her around then start break dancing. I smile as I dance.

Jacqueline shook her head, "No, it's fine," she said just as he pulled her out of her seat. She yelped slightly, startled by his forwardness. She couldn't help being spun and then stepped back when he started break-dancing. "What are you doing?" She asked in her soft, shy voice.

Jacqueline took the radio, thinking in her head of a song she wanted to listen to. Once she thought of it, she whispered a little magic into the radio and Viva La Vida by Coldplay started playing. She smiled softly, listening to one of her favorite songs.
