The Amphitheater
I was wandering around trapped in my thoughts when I bumped on something. I looked up and saw a girl "I'm sorry"

Re: The Amphitheater
Victoria had been calmly reading her giant maths book, sitting on the steps of the Amphitheater, when this boy came and bumped into her. She looked up to him, her head still full of equations, and gave him a nasty look.
- It's alright, she sniffed and looked back into her book.

Re: The Amphitheater
Diogenes looked at her. "I'm Diogenes" he said as the girl was reading something "Diogenes Stavrou. And you are?"

Re: The Amphitheater
Victoria looked up from her book, quite stressed. Why coudn't he just leave her to her equations?
She looked back at the pages and turned one.
- Happy to meet you, she said without thinking a word of it. I'm Victoria Laroche-Guyot, she added with her French accent. Daughter of Athena.
She had said all this without even glancing at him, reading the math formulas in her book.

Re: The Amphitheater
Victoria sighed, picked the book up and held it under his nose - it was quite heavy for her arms, but she could carry it easily.
- Maths, she explained. Theorization.

"I was good at maths at school! Well not perfect but pretty good!" Diogenes said "But I ALWAYS stood out for my pranks." he addes as he gave her a smile.

Re: The Amphitheater
- Oh, so you must know what theorization is about, Victoria smiled.
Perhaps this was another intelligent boy! Okay, not as intelligent as her, but still, he could be... understandable, she thought.

Re: The Amphitheater
"Kind of! I love algebra! Especially logarithms!" Diogenes stated to her "Though I won't complain if I have to deal with third of fourth grade equations. They are kind of funnier than the first or second grade eitherway"

Re: The Amphitheater
Victoria nodded, amazed. So he really did know about maths...
- I love to integrate functions, she said, clapping her book shot. Or derivate them. That's sooo great! I really love it. And theorization of course, too. Like (she drew a square in the dirt): this is the circle C of radius 2 and center O.
She laughed.
- Maths is so genius!

Re: The Amphitheater
Diogenes smiled and connected two corners of the square and next to it wrote the Pythagorean Theorem "a^2= b^2 + c^2 +/- 2bcsinA" he said while writing it. "As a general type! On right-angled triangles you don't need the '+/-'. Did I mention I was good at geometry too?"

Re: The Amphitheater
Victoria wasn't really impressed because she considered the theorem easy enough for twelve-year-olds to know it.
- Geometry is pretty interesting, she stated, but I prefer the theoretical things.

- Yes, I kind of spend my free time at the library, Victoria admitted. Of course I don't only like maths, I love geology, oceanography, meteorology, physics, chemistry, astronomy and astrophysics of course! I want to be an astrophysicist later, she explained.

Re: The Amphitheater
Dio smiled "I can't quite say I like reading cause I'm a natural kleptomaniac prankster but hey, no kids from my cabin are any better so I'll go with it." he said "It just seems as if trouble follows me everywhere! You are kind of... I don't know... those girl that study a lot."

Re: The Amphitheater
Vic nodded, stroking the cover of her maths book.
- Yep. I'm what you call a nerd. Even though I'm hyperactive (because of the ADHD, you know), I'm not dyslexic. That's a real advantage in my studies. (She frowned) Your cabin? Who's your god parent?

Re: The Amphitheater
Diogenes took his time before he answered and started passing his hand through his hair "I'm a Hermes kid" he said and smiled "Yeah, I know not the smartest kid around and yes I know enormous trouble makers and prankers"

Re: The Amphitheater
Victoria nodded, frowning.
- No problem, she said, but tightening her grip on her math book.
He could steal anything from her, even her sword or her drachmas, but if he so much as touched Bobby, her maths book...

Re: The Amphitheater
Dio saw her frowning "The only thing I feel like stealing now is a smile" he said and smiled "Or whatever you need me to get you that would be no problem!". He kept smiling "Oh come on! I'm a prankster! What do I need a book for?"

Re: The Amphitheater
Victoria looked down at her book then forced herself to smile.
- Well, to me this book is very very precious, she said. But I guess you wouldn't do much out of it, now would you?

Re: The Amphitheater
"Unless it has unbelievably funny pranks that I can't think of it's no real use to me and of course it's important to you since you are an Athena kid" Diogenes said and took a coke out of his backpack and gave it to her "Prank free"

Re: The Amphitheater
Victoria nodded.
- You only don't know the value of this book, she said, stroking it delicately. Fortunately for me.
She extended her hand and closed it around the coke. It was hard, wet and cold against her skin.
- Thanks, she said, mentally debating on the number of electrons the aluminium she held in her hand contained.
She took a sip of the fresh liquid and licked her lips.

"So see ya around? I need to explore the rest of the camp cause I'm new here" Diogenes said and stood up giving Victoria his hand to help her stand up.

Re: The Amphitheater
Victoria grabbed his hand without much passion, stood up and nodded.
- See you, Thief, she smirked, sipping the Coke.
She waved goodbye, her maths book under her arm, and turned her heels.
