Gerran put his sword away. He got between the girls nonetheless. Then there came the most beautiful music and vines started to grow at their feet. Gerran looked up and found his best friend playing her fruit.

"You're a b****, but I can't hurt you... physically." I turned and shouted at Gerran. My mother's blessing gave the shout power, the force of my shout sent Gerran flying backwards. He crashed through the tables and chairs that littered the mess hall and slammed against an overturned table. "You're a p**** and she's a b**** and you both deserve each other." I growled and turned away.
