"So much time to kill" She muttered. She plunked herself down on a bench and sighed. She fiddled with her camp necklace and sat waiting for something exciting.

Marcus strolled out of his cabin, grinned, and exclaimed, "What a nice day it is outsid--!" he said just as he tripped over a rock. He popped off the ground, dusted himself off, and glanced around, hoping no one had seen him fall. He started whistling as he walked over to a girl sitting on a bench. He slyly leaned up against the arm and said, trying to sound cool, "Hey pretty lady."

Someone, with obviously a lot of energy, and bounded in, and did a face, plant. Then he comes and sits beside, me attempting to flirt. Maybe this was the excitement I needed. Nope it wasn't. "Hello" I said grimly. I was disgusted by this guy's stupid flirting moves. He obviously had no experience, and was definitely single. I new I just new it.

Marcus's face fell.... to the ground. He had somehow slipped off the armrest and face-planted into the ground again. Smooth, Marcus, he thought to himself, smooth. He picked himself up again and with a sigh he said, "Dang it you weren't supposed to see that."

I smiled at him. "You, try to hard, lighten up!" I grinned at him. Saying that, I felt more wise. I hoped my mother was watching me. I looked at his fallen face, instantly I felt and for being rude. Maybe I could give, him a chance. Maybe.

Marcus chuckled. "I'm no good at flirting, huh?" he asked as he sat down on the bench next to her, not wanting to fall flat on his face again. He held out his hand for her to shake. "I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Marcus."

Marcus shrugged. "Oh well. At least I tried," he said and grinned. He released her hand and put his arm on the armrest, which wasn't all that comfortable, really, as it was just wrought iron. "So what brings you here, Amy?" Marcus asked. He repeated the name in his head several times so he wouldn't forget. That would be embarrassing.

"Boredom, you say?" Marcus asked, determined to change that. He slapped his fist against his palm dramatically and announced, "Well we better do something to remedy such a strange disease!"

Marcus tapped his chin, thinking. "Hmm... So what can two people do around here? There's the lake with canoeing, the beach for swimming and tanning for those who can actually tan, the archery range for people who are good at that, the mess hall for eating in, the forest for training and trying not to get eaten... Any of those things sound interesting to you?"
