I sigh, sitting down and leaning on a tree. Today had not been the best; I had gotten yelled at by a half-sibling during training, my iPod died before i could pick a song, and now the Ares kid. I missed my friends from school in New Jersey, I missed my dad, hell, I even missed my sisters friends. I had tears welling up in my eyes, I was successfully blinking them back at this point.

Re: Relativistic beaming
Victoria watched him with pursed lips. She couldn't read his expression, she could never read anybody's expressions. But somehow, he looked like he wasn't doing all that good, though her perception might be flawed.
"Do you want to do some maths later on?" Victoria asked in an attempt at cheering him up. "My father shipped me the newest books he's using with his to-be-doctorates at the university he's teaching at. I already browsed through it and it looks fun."
