Edward and Beth (PRIVATE)

Beth sat by herself in the middle of the Common Area, braiding her own hair. At 13, her hair was long and healthy. It shone in the sun and was so point reached her ribcage. As Beth sat in the grass, she thought about life in the camp. It had been pretty dull, except the occaisional encounter with an interesting person. Beth smiled to herself as she thought about then interesting people she had met. She wondered if maybe today would bring more interesting people. She looked down at her outfit and brushed the dust off her flowy pink skirt. She adjusted her white tank top and looked around a bit before smiling again.

Edward strolled through the Common Area. He had just left Nerissa, and was still in a pretty good mood. And hey, who wouldn't be. It was a beautiful day out, not a cloud to be seen. Just the kind of day to be outdoors and do something. What that something was Edward wasn't quite sure but there was a definite possibility of him doing something today. As he made his way through the common area, he saw a young girl sitting by herself on a bench in the middle of the large open area. She was looking around as if she was looking for someone. Edward let a slight curious frown creep onto his face as he approached said girl and ask "Hey are you looking for someone?"

Beth looked up as somebody spoke and smiled in apolite way. "Not really. I like meeting interesting and new people thought," she said, standing up. "Beth Calkins, Daughter of Eirene. Who are you?" Beth was her usual perky self today. All smiles and her violet-blue eyes were sparkling. This guy seemed really interesting and like he would be a lot of fun.

Edward internally laughed which came out as a slight smile. The girl was funny, not like funny ha ha. But funny in a peculiar way. Not that it was a bad thing. Her funny personality fit well with her. "I think we all enjoy meeting new people." He said with a warm smile. "My name's Edward, son of Nike." He knew some of the major gods and goddesses but he wasn't all that knowledgeable on the minor ones, other than his own mother. Curious, he asked "Who's Eirene?"

"Goddess of Peace." Beth informed Edward. "Nike? Like the sports equipment?" Her curiosity was coming out as she looked at the boy with interest. So far, he had smiled at her, which probably meant he was nice. She was smiling herself, but there was something almost...comfort I about the way he looked at her. She mentally shushed herself so she could hear his response.
