George entered the game room. It had low light -only that of the open screens- and it wasn't crowded. Perfect, he thought. He went close to the consoles. He wasn't very acquainted with video games -his only experience was his father's Nitendo 64. Instictively, he started looking for one, but he didn't -obviously. This was like, 11 years ago. He sighed. He went close to a ps3 and started looking at the titles - Mortal Kombat, some CoD games, Last of us... nothing he knew or seemed interesting. Too bad. Then something caught his eye. On the WII U that was next, he saw his favourite game ever: "Super smash bros." He imnediately put on the disk and waited for the game to load.

Sable was already in the game room when the boy walked in. She was currently sitting on the couch, leaning forward, Xbox controller in hand. Naturally she would be playing her favorite video game: Halo 2. "Damn it," she said through gritted teeth. "Stupid grunt." Sable continued to click away at the buttons, throwing plasma grenades here and there.

The two screens happened to be next to each other, so he got to sit on the same couch as the girl that was playing a game that was... violent he would describe it. He sat on the other end of the couch, as far as possible. It took him some time to read "single player" and press it. He went on to pick a character and woah... so many! Like triple the ones on N64.

"Who the hell is Sh-shulk? And Z-ero Su-it Sa-mus?" (Note: indication that he's slowly spelling cause dyslexia) he said with a puzzled look.

Come to think of it, there were so many he didn't know. He started looking for Captain Falcon -best ever.

Sable laughed, hearing the boy sound out the names. After all, she understood that, having dyslexia just like the majority of all the other Half-bloods that existed. Looking towards him, she was curious. Sable had never played that game... after all if she was to play the Wii it would be something like boxing. "Say.... your that new Athena kid, right?"

OOC: Haven't played smash? Like the ultimate game if you have friends (e.g. not for me) or for parties (Sable is a party freak, right?)

BIC:He felt a little uncomfortable and annoyed with the girl laughing at his dyslexia. It was a touchy subject for him because people would make fun of it. She though spoke to him in a friendly tone. Noticing her, she looked like an aphrodite kid, even though many girls at camp looked good -probably inherited from the godly side.

"Yes, George. And you are...?" he replied, his attention still fixed on the character selection screen.

Sable paused the game, quickly, then held her hand out to George in a friendly gesture. "Sable Hollingsworth. Daughter of Aglaea."

Aglaea? It took him a little to remember, a goddess of beauty. So, he hadn't been 100% wrong. He smiled to her and he shook her hand. He nodded towards her screen.

"So, what are you playing there? Seems fairly violent." he said as he finally found Captain Falcon and locked in. He would pick the CPU's randomly. He turned to Sable again waiting for the girl's reply.

"Violent?" Sable found herself giggling. That was hardly the word.
"Oh it's really not as violent as it seems.. well until you see the blue alien blood splatter everywhere. Then that can be negotiated." Then she remembered the earlier part of his question as she leaned back on the couch, crossing her legs. "It's called Halo 2, actually."

The CPU's were Yoshi, Kirby and that Shulk guy -he intentionally picked opponents with small names. He then turned to Sable once again.

"So, they've made more than one of these? Weird." He wasn't that violent, and the violence in Smash was a bit over the top and childish and not to be taken seriously. But blue alien blood? Yeah, not child appropriate in his opinion. Even though they weren't exactly children.

He tried to pick a stage. Annoyingly they all had big names. He decided to read through them all, partly for practice.

Sable heard the boy's comment, though waited a minute to answer him. Finally, the cinematic scene came on. Turning to him she smiled. "Of course they've made others. It's one of the highest grossing games in the world. There's Halo one, two, three, Halo Wars, Halo ODST and Halo Reach. I think there supposed to be coming out with a new one soon..."

Sable trailed off, realizing that she had begun to ramble.

George whistled. "That's a lot. I'm pretty sure there have been less Super Smash Bros ones." he said with a smile plastered across his face. He turned to his screen and he picked Final Destination. As he waited for the screen to load he once again turned to the girl, trying to find anything likeable to the game. She seemed good at it, to give credit where it's due. Finally the screen loaded and he was about to starts. Good thing about Smash: No controls needed. It was a random button musher.

"I suppose you could say that." Sable picked the controller up once more, turning back to the screen. She continued to mash the buttons, finally hitting "B" and knocking the alien down.

After some minutes of silence and button-mashing from George... he lost. Second after Shulk. He sighed. That was his luck. He got a bit pissed off and turned the console off. Checking the other games, nothing seemed really interesting. He turned to the girl once again.

"M-mind if I...erm, joined?" he said, his shy side overcoming him and averting his look, which was weird since he hadn't been like that till now with her. Maybe it was because he thought that he could build a friendship, which made him a bit nervous.

"Th-that's if you don't have a-a problem of course." he added, looking down, not daring to look at her. He thought that it was stupid, but he still wouldn't look at her in the eye.

OOC: I just died laughing xD

Bic: She looked up at him a surprised expression on her face. "Oh.. um.. sure, George. Just let me save this first." Sable mashed a few more buttons, bringing up the pause screen and then saving the game. At least she had passed the point that she had already wanted to. Getting up off of the couch, Sable walked over to the stand and picked up another controller for George, handing it to him. "I'm assuming you know how to work this," she said with a sly smile.

His turn to smile. "Uhm, yeah..." he said. "Kinda."

Truth was he was a little unnerved by her initial reaction, though it was fully logical. He got the controller and sat next to her. Well, not exactly next to her, he kept a distance.

"So, I assume this ain't a masher like Smash so I will need to figure the controls first." he semi said to her, semi muttered.

Sable slid down the couch, closer to George in attempt to explain better. "It's nothing like Smash. Here let me show you." Sable pointed at the controls as she talked. "The B button is how you hit the enemy, to knock them back. A is jump, X is reload, Y is change weapons and... thats about it. Oh, Yeah! You walk around with the left joystick and look around with the right."

"All right then, spam B. Got it." he said with a stupid smile on his face. He waited for the screen to load. "So... m-ulti...yeah, there it is."

Convenient that there was in the first place, in a game like that he thought. Meh, even if he messed up (most probable scenario) Sable seemed good enough to win by herself. So, yeah, no sweat.

"So, what other games do you like?" he said in an attempt to break the ice, before they started.

"I play lots of different games," Sable responded. "Sims, Forza motor sports, The Call of Duty series... Darksider's, Dragon Age, Fable. Lots of things." The game continued to load, showing the centimatic scene of Master Chief and what not. Sable prepared herself to play this part of the game... again.

"So, our objective here is to pick up the assault rile, walk through a few doors and kill the Covenant, thats the enemy, and escape."

"Oh well, that means you're experienced enough. My plan will be to loyally follow your command." he said with a smile.

The cinematic scene was... meh. Anyway the game loaded. The controls were tougher than he thought. In the end, he didn't get his butt killed, while Sable seemed to easily handle the grunts herself.

"Damn it's actually hard!" he said, to restrain himself from actually cursing.

Sable laughed, continuing to mash the buttons as she knocked a 'sleeper' backwards on the screen. "Don't worry, the next mission always goes better. How do you like it so far?" She continued to mash the buttons, this time throwing a plasma grenade.

As George learnt how to 'excel' at the run away tactic, he actually decided to try and fight them in a honourable duel... untill he started running for his life again.

"Well, the controls are more complicated than anything l've played before, otherwise it's not bad of a game." he said, after actually killing off a grunt. Yay!

Sable laughed once more. "Nice job on that grunt." There was a few more aliens, which they both seemed to do well with. Now it was time for yet another cinematic scene. "Say, how about I save this and show you another game the I downloaded? It's called Defense Grid. You sort of... Place the guns or whatever in certain places's to get the aliens where you want them. It keeps them from getting the cores, which is what you need to protect."

It was almost relieving that she decided to change the game. He felt like he was just embarassing himself and he didn't like how that felt. In the end he nodded to her. "So, like, strategy? Also, you seem to have a thing for aliens." he said in a pitiful attempt to joke.

In all fairness he liked the time he spent with her there. Her aura made him just want to hang out and she didn't seem to be very judgmental. He was rather comfortable -at least for his standards.

Yes! He had agreed to it. The truth was she really liked strategic games. Well that and she had been replaying Halo over and over for the last two months. "Exactly." Then Sable shrugged her shoulders, a smirk on her face. "Aliens are the most... common enemy I fight against in games I guess you could say. They just... tend to be there."

Saving the game, Sable backed out to the Dashboard, then mashed another few buttons. Finally she got to the game, opening up to the title screen, then going to the campaign to start on the first board.
