age: eighteen, born on november 27th
gender: cisgender male
eyes: a bright, almost neon blue that are round and make him look much younger than he is. is this a good thing? he hasn't figured that out yet.
hair: a dusty, brownish blonde that will never calm down despite how many times he runs a hairbrush through it. it's soft and well-maintained.
height: 5'10. he has a tendency to lie and say he's 6 feet tall.
body type: he's lanky and thin with very little muscle mass on him. he doesn't do much except a bodyweight exercise routine every night.
skin color: ruddy and rather pale, despite his mexican heritage. jacob doesn't burn too easily, though.
god parent: athena, goddess of wisdom and a whole bunch of other stuff
mortal parent: john castillo, a mexican-american man who's about 44 years old and works as a banker at a local credit union.
country of origin: united states. jacob lived in austin, texas since he was born up until he was twelve, in which he lived full-time at camp due to the hassle of him travelling back and forth between new york and texas.
pets: tortilla, an annoyingly cute corgi that jacob's dad's had for the past five years.
talents: he's wicked good at analyzing literature, and he's pretty alright at violin
weapon: celestial bronze, seven-inch dagger with no defining features on it. three years back, jacob "borrowed" it from the weapon shed and hung onto it ever since.
personality: jacob is a vivacious, loud, enthusiastic young man who lives for the zest of life. he's a chipper guy who never takes things seriously and laughs in the face of danger. he loves joking around and picking on people, and likes to be the center of attention.
flaws: he doesn't get when to stop, as in he'll keep picking on a person until they're in tears because he doesn't realize how he's affecting them. he's imperceptive and gets jealous easily, and he's also. so loud. like almost constantly yelling loud.
abilities: he can talk to owls and snakes, due to them being his mom's symbols. jacob will never get lost in a city, always having a hyperaware sense of where he is relative to other places.
powers: none.
life before camp: jacob was born and raised in austin, texas, living as a sort of latchkey kid as his dad was away at work for most of the day. he was best friends with a satyr named kenny, and the two of them talked about poetry and english projects for hours on end. a week after jacob's twelfth birthday, kenny came clean about camp half-blood and the fact that he was a demigod. john handled the whole ordeal with grace and took a week off of work to drive the two of them up. jacob comes back down to texas over winter break and for a month or so in summer, choosing to stay at camp due to friends and to save time.
rp example*: Jacob stared at the ceiling of his camp, watching the fan spin in circles. His hands tented together and his eyes glazed over. He rolled onto his side and out the window, watching some of the younger kids run around and scream. One of them looked like she was holding a stick to jab at her friend with. A smile formed on his lips and he turned himself over to get out of bed. After dusting off his shirt and shorts, he went outside to find his own friends and maybe chase them with a stick.
