I walked into the library and looked around. I grabbed a random book off the shelf. "How to Feed a Chicken". Wow....

I put it on a table and walked back out.

I walked in and scanned a book shelf. My dyslexia was pretty bad, but who said I couldn't attempt to read?

i looked at the other girl through my hair. [i] go on, Lily, go up to her. start a conversation[i/] my tourture- inflicting part of myself said. [i] take it one step at a time[i/] my smarter, more reasonable and logical part of my brain suggested. [i] shut up [i/] i told both parts.

i looked at it. my dyslexia wasn't so bad i couldn't read. it must be a child of Athena thing. "i think that's supposed to be harry potter" i told her. i really hated people misusing big words and reading things wrong. then i turnd away quickly, hoping that she wouldn't realize it was me saying that, but knowing that hope was futile.

Post by Jake 8/24/2009, 10:09 pm

I walk in, and begin picking up some books from the shelf. All different stories from different times. I was reading some of my favorites. The Spartans fighting the Persians, even when Athens had given up hope, the 100 year war of how Joan of Arc, a girl around my age, led the army of France to victory, then the irony is they burned her for being a witch. I always hated that part. the greatest military leader in France, and they burn her. Was there any thoughts about how Joan of Arc could lead them to a greater victory, practicly rising France into a greater Empire than Rome. Of course they didn't think of that, they were too stuck up to ignore the fact that a girl could lead an army better than they could, and on top of that a teenager. I read about the revolutonary war. I learned about in school but it always amazed me how a small band of colonists with barley any training could beat a giant army of highly trained soldiers. George Washington must have been a military genuis in order to do that.
