Re: The Lonely Basement
I walk in looking around at everything in here. I can't believe this is happening, I thought to myself. I went back upstairs to explore camp some more.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I walk in shuffling my feet and humming Billy Joel's Piano Man. Okay, I know I needed to stop being so reclusive and anti social, but I just... Didn't really want to deal with people. So, if just look for something shiny to play with or something.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I walked down into the basement, Ifrit hanging off my belt and repeatedly scraping the walls as I descended. Ugh. Was that a cobweb in the corner? I felt a twinge of annoyance, stomping up to it and cutting it away with Ifrit. This place needed a real cleaning-up.

Re: The Lonely Basement
I heard thumping. Perhaps someone wa coming downstairs? I sighed and ignored it. I searched through various mountains of boxes, searching for something interesting. And I found it. Three or four HUGE boxes filled with... Cheesegraters? What? "There's gotta be a hundred cheese graters down here!" I cried. "Why? Why on earth could there be a née for so many cheese graters?!"

Re: The Lonely Basement
I heard somebody talking about cheese graters somewhere in the darkened basement, and I turned around. There were lots of boxes, sure, but I couldn't see anybody in here. "Hello? "I called out cautiously. Well, that was a stupid move.

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Uhm, just me. A little twelve year old girl. Hi." I waved, but then I face-palmed. This person, probably a girl, wouldn't be able to see me from among the boxes.

I pulled down the sleeved on my sweat shirt, not wanting my bionic arms and legs to frighten her. "Hey, where are you?"

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Over by this big dusty couch. Ugh." I looked at it, realizing there was probably an inch of dust on it. Was that possible? I didn't think so until now.

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Huh? Oh yeah, it is...." I stared at it through the dark, squinting slightly to see the dust. I took a step away from it. Oh yeah, I was going to dust the Hades out of it next time I saw it....

Re: The Lonely Basement
"Maybe there's cleaning tools down here?" I was tapping my fingers together nervously; if I didn't stop myself, I'd leap face-first into the dusty parts of the basement armed only with a rag and bucket and I'd clean the place down until it sparkled.

"Maybe, maybe not. I don't really know where the cleaning harpies keep their stuff.... but it's probably not in the mess hall's kitchens, or we'd have Clorox-filled soda."

Re: The Lonely Basement
Well, okay then. I blinked as she left, a bit dejectedly, but then again I wasn't good at keeping people around. Sigh. I left the basement, glad to be out of that dusty hell-hole.
