The Lonely Basement

That was it. Gerran reached into his pocket and got out his hand sanitizer. He couldn't cope with it. he ahd to get rid of the germs. He pulled faces as he rubbed the liquid into his hands until they were raw. He barely resisted temptation not to rub his face with it too.

"Oh gods. Death? All those germs," Gerran said an shivered. He counted his words and was relieved to hear he had said six words. Six was a good number. He looked at the girls with mild interest. He wanted to run the heck out of there but he didn't want to be called a coward. "Name's Gerran. People call me Gez."

Gerran was itching to leave. "Uh..." he murmured and looked around. It was a dusty place. Why had he come here?! GERMS! THEY WERE EVERYWHERE! THEY WERE IN THE AIR! IN THE DUST! OH GOD! THE DUST MITES! Yes, Gerran was internally panicking.

"OCD," he barely got out. "I hate germs..."

Sirius walks into the basement of the big house. He had no idea why he was even there; maybe just out of boredom? No, there had to be some reason. He sits down on the ground, his legs crossed, and stares at the ground, trying to figure out what he should do.

Miranda walked into the basement because the meeting with the blue team was hopeless. We couldn't win anyways. What's the point? There were 5 demititans. She looked up and saw Sirius. What a coincidence. "Oh... Well hi," She said to him as she sat down next to him.

"Um....hi." Sirius says, confused. How had this random luck happened? He looks at her face to see that some sort of..........disturbed look on her face. "Is something wrong?" he asks her.

"Oh nothing, just that the blue team can't win unless a miracle happened. It was kind of boring there so I decided to get away from the meeting." She replied. "Not really fun. Did you go to the red team meeting?" She asked him.

"Nope. I figured there would be a lot of drama and fighting so I decided not to." Sirius explains to her.

"Not really much fighting... Just tons of talking. So, it's going to be loud and that's annoying especially when two people are talking at once,"She told him.

"I don't know if I'm going to play or not. I'm not a very good fighter and I don't actually have a primary weapon." Sirius tells her.

"Don't you have your Celestial Bronze axe?" She asked him. "Don't tell me that you're not a very good fighter. You defeated those Laestrygonians at my school," She added.

"It wasn't my axe. It was a sample from the armory." Sirius lowers his head towards the ground. "I just pretended to make it. I actually just took it off of a shelf." He felt terrible for admitting it, but it was the truth. He was not about to lie to Miranda at all either.

"It's fine. You still have it?" She asked him. She kissed him on the cheek."Doesn't really matter anyways. It's just a weapon." She added. The basement was just for other things but it looked like tons of people came in here.

"Yeah, but I still want a weapon to call my own. I want one that I made." Sirius explains to Miranda, as he kisses her back, but on the forehead.

"Maybe later we could go to the armory. I'll watch you make a weapon. My father used to do archery, and he gave me his bow. The one I used the first time we went to the archery range," She told him.

"The really nice bow? Yeah." Sirius says as he lightly hugs Miranda. "I am going to need my own weapon before CTF."

"It's not really a nice bow... It's just a polished up bow that I take care of so it won't break." She explains to him."You won't need one if you're not participating. You just need one to protect yourself."
