Jogging lightly, Meagan was heading through a cleared path through the forest glancing around at all the openings between the trees. Apparently, this part of the forest was sparsely-populated with nymphs; there would be more trees otherwise, although she wasn't sure that all nymphs were trees. Maybe some of them were just trees.

She ran a hand through her hair and sighed. Maybe she shouldn't have left those kids back there with the monster, but demigods were crafty people, they knew things that could get them out of a lot of sticky situations. That reminded her, she should probably go look for help.... Meagan snorted slightly, pausing to kick a rock off the path and roll it behind a fallen log with her foot (rather than her powers). This wasn't a path to any popular part of camp; she was just lying to herself to make herself feel better for abandoning them.

Vivian ran along the secluded path, weaving through tree's and ducking under branches. The daughter of Notus had found this path a couple weeks ago when she was practicing archery. She liked being alone, most people were annoying. Always thinking they were better because their god parent was a part of the twelve. So what if Vivian's dad was the god of the south wind? She liked who she was.
Vivian got so caught up in her thoughts, she didn't see the girl up ahead. She also didn't see the root in the middle of the path. Vivian's foot was caught and she fell forward. Right on her face. Vivian wasn't hurt, but her pride was somewhat wounded. Wiping a bit of mud off her cheek, she gingerly stood up, brushing more dirt of her jeans.

As Meagan went jogging along the winding running path through the forest, she heard something: the sound of footsteps approaching, fast, behind her. She slowed down and half-turned, trying to see who or what it was that was coming after her through the shadows of the overhanging trees, when she squinted and saw a human-shaped shadow running alone on the path. Oh. Okay then. That's fine. If this person was looking for a fight, Meagan could handle him or her or whatever it was; she'd done enough training in the past month with other demigods to be able to do a good bit of damage to them (although she still had a bit of trouble with monsters).

The demi-titan came to a full stop and turned around fully, watching the figure approach with its almost-careless run when, suddenly, it fell face-first into the mud on the path. She raised her eyebrows as it -- a girl, she could see now -- got up and wiped off her face; her eyes traveled downward and found in the middle of the path a tree root there, an easy trap for careless runners. How Meagan hadn't noticed it while she was jogging, she didn't know -- it was possible she'd just skipped over it completely.

"Hey there," she called out to the girl, "are you okay?"

Vivian tried to hide her embarrassed look, "Yeah, you know, I just love falling in dirt," she replied. Vivian was covered in mud, not that she cared about how she looked, she never did. Though, the mud was uncomfortable, she'd rather jump into a body of freezing water. Vivian could do that later.
Looking back to the other girl, Vivian gave a smile. "I'm sure I look fabulous, huh?" Vivian always knew how to strike up a conversation, it helped get her out of trouble many times. Act confident and people will respect you, and if they don't, Vivian found a way. Well, most of the time.
Vivian did a once over of the girl. She didn't recognize her. Then again, after being here so long, everyone started to look the same. Maybe Vivian could make a friend, instead of floating around with whomever she saw fit. She was a nomad, preferring to sail instead of make friends. That was how she was, she never stayed anywhere long enough to actually befriend someone. Being at camp was a nightmare, she never really got to go anywhere. It was worse than the island.

"Yeah -- slow-mo falls always look great. Mud makes everybody look more attractive. Apparently it makes your skin softer or something." More so in movies than in real life, but hey, Meagan wasn't very picky about falling or its after-effects. This wasn't really a pleasant way for meeting (more so for the girl than Meagan herself), so she didn't really have an arsenal of greetings and conversation topics to wield. Camp wasn't like home back in California; she didn't feel as comfortable around here as she did with her school friends. People there partied and did normal, usually nonviolent teenage stuff -- people here had to basically train for their lives or risk dying in the real world and in camp, with all the psychos running around with weapons.

Meagan tilted her head to the side slightly, looking at the girl through the shadows -- pretty, she guessed as far as her eyesight could tell her, and dark-haired. For some reason, this girl reminded her of one of her old friends back home. It wasn't because they looked similar, no.... Maybe they acted similar? She couldn't tell. The girl wasn't somebody she knew in camp -- she barely knew anybody -- but she looked friendly enough. "You, uh.... What are you doing here? Were you running too?"
