The was right below him, campers of all race, ethnicity, size, and god parent being there enjoying the crystal clear waters of the ocean. Dangerous waters no doubt for they are filled with monsters that can be friendly or deadly, flipping moods at any minute. The amnesiac son of Hestia would be down there too, enjoying all the fun, but he didn't really feel like it right now. Besides...fire and water don't mix...and his own body heat would make the water sizzle when he entered it. Not very uncommon for a child of the Goddess of the Hearth.

Shelby walked onto the unusually large cliff and saw a boy that she had seen in the Hestia cabin before. She walked over, not being able to be mean or rude to anybody but she was a tad hesitant and just stood there like an idiot

Jacqueline walked quietly out to the cliffside and looked out over the ocean, her hands tucked into the curvature of her back. Her long red curls waved gently in the calm, summer breeze. She had noticed a couple of other people standing at the cliffs, but payed little attention to them. She sat down on the edge, showing how little she feared the heights, and pulled a book from her satchel. It was a rather peaceful spot where she often took refuge form all the chaos of camp. She read quietly with her feet dangling off the edge dangerously.

Arkarian glanced over and saw a girl sitting on the ledge of the cliff reading a book. Obviously falling was something that she wasn't worried about because she seemed to be enjoying her position...and the book must be good because it seemed to him that she was completely caught up in it. He shrugged and then looked back out at the ocean. He sat down on the ledge and then snapped his finger and a flame flickered to life in his hand. He manipulated the flame to dance around for a little bit before flickering away in the wind.

Jacqueline's eyes were drawn to the fire dancing across some guy's fingers. She actually turned her head, suddenly distracted from her book, to watch him play with it until it flickered away with the wind. After having her attention taken away from her book so easily, Jacqueline couldn't help but wonder why a simple little flame like that had caught her eye. Normally she was too enthralled with whatever she was reading to notice something like that. She set the book down on her lap with her thumb between it's pages to keep her place and looked out over the calm ocean. Very often there was at least some surf beating against the cliff-sides, but today it was eerily quiet.

Arkarian noticed that the flame had caught the girls attention and drew her away from her book. He saw that she was looking out at the calm ocean. Normally it'd be surging up waves and crashing on the beach and the cliff-side, but today it was just peaceful...almost making Arkarian feel like not having his memories were a good thing. "Nice view ain't it." He said to the girl.

Jacqueline nodded, not removing her blank stare off into empty space, and spoke, "Yes, it's stunning." Her voice was soft and reserved, and possibly would be lost in the wind, but she didn't mind. Her comments were usually ignored, and she was used to it. She didn't particularly like it, but it was better than trying to fool people into thinking she was an extrovert, which she felt would be like living a lie.

"Makes you feel like you just want to forget all your troubles.....like nothing bad ever happens." He said. Arkarian glanced down at the water and saw what looked like diamonds in the seas. The sunlight making the scene come to life. He smiled and created another flame....letting it stay in whatever it's most peaceful state would be.

"Yeah," Jacqueline agreed, wondering what kind of troubles he may wanting to forget, but obviously she knew better than to pry, and even if she wanted to know, she would be too shy to ask. "It's good to get lost in the beauty of it all sometimes," she commented with her soft tone. She figured she should introduce herself at this point, but that felt too forward for her. Using her powers with ease, she summoned a small teacup filled with tea and sipped it, still holding the book with her other hand.

Arkarian watched and the flame vanished and then looked over at her, seeing she now held a cup of tea. "I guess I'd better introduce myself...Arkarian Lost. I guess it's kinda obvious that Hestia is my mother." He said to her. The fire child glanced down at his hand and hesitated a bit figuring he would look dumb holding it out to her when her hands were already full.

Jacqueline glanced up, but not at him. At least he had taken off the pressure of feeling like she should introduce herself, which was a relief. "Demigods with fire powers could easily be children of Hephaestus or Prometheus or any number of other minor gods. Or even Loki, for all those oddball non-greek campers." She smiled lightly and continued, "So no, it isn't obvious, but it does make logical sense." She set her book down on the grass next to her and sipped her tea. "I'm Jacqueline, and Hecate is my mother."

Rio sat down on the edge of the cliff with her day bag. She noticed some other people but didn't pay attention to them. She pulled out her book and continued reading. After a while I decide to leave to the Courtyard.
