Re: The Abandoned Observatory
"Mhm.... Yeah. Sure it is." Yup, this girl was definitely the epitome of good conversation. I looked up at the ceiling, noticing that the sunlight from the opening was dimming; it was getting to be late afternoon, or maybe evening now.

Vik really wanted to go to the library, but hated being rude. "Want to go to the library together?"

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
"If you want.... The observatory's too quiet around here for me." I almost slapped myself when I realized, five seconds later, that the library would be quiet, too -- but there'd be more people, so....

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
Lillian walked into the observatory. She had never been here, even after a few years of camp. Surveying the room with piercing gray eyes, she stepped over to a telescope. She peered through it, shutting the eye that wasn't looking at the stars. She stared at the white sphere of the moon, wondering when the next solistice was and if Khonsu would be there.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
I wandered up to a big building, curious, I opened the door, making a loud creaking noise as I pulled it open. It was dark, and covered in dust, it looked like none had been in here for ages. I walked in slowly, my feet making an echoing sound, "Hello?" I called "Anyone in here?"

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
Lillian coughed as dust blew in her way. She turned around to see a redhead making her way through. Lillian was glad the girl was here; she preffered people over being alone. She wiped her hand against a bare thigh, shivering slightly. It was a bit chilly inside the observatory. "I'm Lillian. Daughter of Khonsu," she said, giving the girl half a smile.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
I smile back, "Jess, daughter of Tyche." I reply, I turn and walk up to the big telescope, "What is this place?" I ask "It looks so... empty." walk up to a shelf and take a book of one of the shelves, it said Astronomy 201, I wasn't really into astronomy, I preferred focusing on what was going on, on the ground.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
I walked in, coughing raggedly. I needed to relax. I was too stressed out. And stress wasn't a good combination with my PTSD. I kept having flash backs and I wanted it to stop. I didn't like remembering...

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
"The observatory." Lillian bent down slightly; she peered at the moon through the telescope again. "I've never been here before, either," she said, seeing Jess hadn't been here. She straightened up and observed Jess; although she didn't express it, the daughter of Khonsu loved making people uncomfortable. She hid a smile. She noticed somebody come in from the corner of her eye, but didn't react. Well, looked like the observatory was becoming more popular rapidly.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
I rubbed my eyes. I found a dust covered table and sat down. Already a head ache was beginning to drill into my head.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
I shifted my feet, uncomfortable at being stared at. I turned quickly, surprised at the sound of someone else in the room, they looked stressed, my ADHD kicked in and I asked "Hello, are you okay?" I immediately felt embarrassed at prying into someone's personal life, and imagined my face then was the same color as my hair.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
I gulped and looked up. I saw a girl with bright red hair (and a face just as red) who appeared to be one or two years younger than myself. Along side her was another girl. Mentally, I was screaming curses at myself. Why hasn't I noticed them earlier? After four years in the army, four years, my senses should have been fine tuned to something like that! Then again, I wasn't exactly in a place of mental stability. I was stuck, for now, in a world of flash backs and delusions.
I swallowed hard. Of all the people I could've run into, why'd it have to be girls?! I was no good with girls! Four years in the army with only boys (plus forty years in a coma in the Lotus Hotel). So basically, I'd barely talked to girls in over forty four years! I was... No good with that kind of thing... They made me nervous...

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
I realized he wasn't in the mood to talk "Sorry, i usually get a little, chatty," i said "And i'm doing it again. i'll be over here" I said gesturing to the telescope.
I walked around it trying to figure out how to move the position it was pointed at, while occasionally glancing back at the boy. I knew i got a little chatty and i hoped i wasn't being too annoying, i get that way, when things get awkward.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
Lillian tried not to smile. She loved making people freak out. She wiped dust off a telescope, turning around. Her lips twitched as she continued brushing dust off the telescope. She turned around again, keeping a straight face. She adjusted it, so it pointed at the moon.l She bent down, staring at the white sphere without blinking.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
My eyes trained on the two girls, heart pounding against my chest. I had... Trust issues. Part of me was afraid that they were mercenaries. I shook my head, trying to remind myself that they were just two normal girl. I was in America, not Vietnam. Vietnam was forty years ago.

Lillian could feel the guy's eyes on her. She straightened up and turned around to look at him. "Hi," she said, smirking. Lillian never smiled at anybody. "What's up?"

I bit my lip. I was unfamiliar with the expression. "Um, the ceiling I suppose," I kept my eyes locked on her, mistrust written across my face.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
Lillian was amused. The ceiling? "I guess," she said. "What's your name?" she asked, letting her fingers slide off the telescope. She could tell this guy didn't trust her. Well, he was intelligent then.

Re: The Abandoned Observatory
I sighed and stuck my hands in my pockets, walking out of the observatory sulkily. Two other people were in the observatory now -- gods, why couldn't I ever get some peace and quiet alone?

"No, not really," I said, my voice cold and full of mistrust.
