Talking wit' Chiron

Chiron nodded to her, glancing around at him. There was Kim and Zachary left in the room, besides himself and Ebony. "Well, Ebony, welcome to camp. How did you get here?"

Chiron frowned at her, not sure a child this young would have walked to CHB on her own. "Where do you live? Close by?"

"Hmm.... Do you have a father or mother we can contact, so they'll know you're here and just fine?"

"Well, I'll tell them you'll have to stay, if you want," Chiron offered her kindly, glancing around his desk for a spare drachma. None on the top of it, anyway. "It's better to train demigods young. Has your father talked about your real mother before?"

Chiron raised his eyebrows at Ebony -- well, her father seemed to have imagined that she'd get to camp another way. "Well, you'll probably learn about her much earlier than that. Has he ever talked about a camp to you?"

"Hmm.... Well, this camp is called Camp Half Blood -- for children like you. Half-god, half-mortal children." Chiron paused to see her reaction.

"No, of course not -- not unless I have to defend myself from you. Hopefully, that's not the case?" Chiron thought this girl was unlikely to cause much trouble now, though later.... Hm.

I looked at the ground sheepishly and said," I sort of went to the outside world and she came with me then we had a fight and I left and came here. And I don't know where she went,"

Chiron looked to Kim, raising an eyebrow at her; that was fairly disappointing. "Do you know this girl's name, Kim? That was a very irresponsible thing you did back there."

"Jasmine. It's not my fault!!! She was the one who started it!! And she's probably back where I left her!" I burst out, not caring how loud I was but I felt myself beginning to cry.

Chiron sighed, shaking his head. "Well, have you tried IM-ing her, if you think she's back where you'd left her? I'll give you a drachma to use if you want to try."

"what's an IM? Can u do it? I don't think she would want to talk to me?" I whispered, sniffling and suddenly crying, tears streaking down me face.

"An IM is basically like webcamming, only using magic. I can't do it, you're the one who needs to fix this yourself." Chiron found a drachma in one of his drawers and held it out to her. "Go outside and make a rainbow with the hose; say 'O Goddess, please accept my offering,' and then tell her the name of the person you're contacting."

"what? Can you say that again? I don't understand?" I whispered, whimpering and shrinking down lower and hugging Zachary close to myself.

"Go outside and make a rainbow with the hose," Chiron began slowly, "and then say 'O Goddess, please accept my offering.' Then tell the rainbow the name of the person you want to talk to."

"Okay... " I trailed off and took the drachma from Chiron. "but will you still be here? Please don't go any where," I pleaded Chiron as I went outside.

"I'll stay here," Chiron called after her, then sat back, sighing. He barely left his office nowadays, which was sorely disappointing.

"Knock knock," I yelled from behind the door. Hopefully, someone is their to answer I thought. I pulled off my hood and waited there.

Ugh... why?!? I said quietly. I slowly sat down next to the door, pulled on the hoodie of my sweater, and closed my eyes. A few seconds later, I went to sleep, my hellhound lying down next to me.
