Alonso walked in with a bought he brought. He didn't really cared about books, or reading, but he wanted to look more intelligent, specially when he walked around. He had his poetry thing, and he didn't even bothered looking from who it was, who wrote it. He pretend to read as he walked around, until he spot a nice place to sit. Under a huge tree, perfect for reading, or at least looking like he read. He went there and sit on the ground, still "reading his book".

I looked around, bored with messing with guys, so I figured I'd just sit and have some peace and quiet. I saw someone reading by a tree. i walked over and out my hand on my hip. "Ew," I said. "You're reading a book? Who reads books anymore?" I said, rolling eyes

Alonso looked at the person who just came and answer her "Apparently, a lot. There are so many books on this place" Alonso looked around. Maybe he should try to talk to her more, or do anything. "This thing is poetry" He said, giving her the book. "It can be nice, you know, reading can be nice" He totally lied. He hated reading, specifically poetry. He stood up and said "I'm Alonso, and who you are?" Alonso asked. She looked like an Aphrodite girl, and acted as one, so she probably was one. But you never know, you have seen a lot of weird stuff at this camp, Ares kids being extremely nice, Demeter kids who could stay 1 minute looking at you destroy a plant. Maybe your attitude doesn't totally depends of your godly parent. But this girl, she did looked like an Aphrodite one.

"Poetry? Gross," I said. "Reading is boring, unless it''s a magazine. And I dont even read those! I just look at the pictures," I said. "I'm Kate Valentine," I said. Well, he was weird. He wasn't tripping over his words, or turning red, or running away to hide. He was acting, well, normal. Oh gods, he was some sort of freak. And, on top of all that, he read! Books! Books are so old fashioned! I smiled though, trying to figure out how I could make him fall in love with me.

Alonso smiled, almost laughing because of what the she said. She apparently was funny, or at least, tried to look funny, and that was nice. "Magazines? They are full of pictures. No letters at all, Exept for the magazine's name in the front" He said. "So you don't like reading? Correct me if I'm wrong but, are you a Daughter of Aphrodite?" He tried to sound as weird as he could. Weird as in a person who actually read books, not pretend to read books. He saw her and smiled again.

I rolled my eyes. "They do have words," I argued. I laughed. "Yes, I'm Aphrodite's daughter," I said, wishing I had just walked on by him. He was weird! He wasn't even complimenting me! I was the most gorgeous thing ever! Well, Except for Mom, but that doesn't matter. I couldn't hold it in. "Why aren't you tripping over your words? Why aren't you turning red? Why aren't you asking me out?" The words poured out of my mouth.
