The Amphitheater

Mason stopped so she could catch up, and they could be shoulder to shoulder.

Kaelyn looked over. "So..." She wanted him to start the conversation.

"Do you like music?" He asked finishing the sentence.

Kaelyn perked up, "I love music. All kinds of music... Just not rap or country.

"Why not rap, and country?" He asked wandering. He didn't really like that music either, but he didn't not like it.

Kaelyn shrugged, "Not my style, I guess."

Mason shrugged too"I guess each person likes different music"

She nodded. To be honest, a lot of things weren't her style. Over the past few years, she really darkened up. Unintentionally, of course. She came to the realization that not only had she started wearing darker clothes, she had also stopped talking to people. She had ignored her past friends and just left for camp. Kaelyn stopped in her tracks. She looked around and up at Mason. She grabbed Mason's arm, "Tell me the truth, please.... Why are you talking to me?" Kaelyn hoped Mason wouldn't take what she said the wrong way. She had pleading eyes. She wanted to know.

He felt her hands on his arm and he turned around quickly, hearing her words. "Wha-" He started confused 'What do you mean? Do you not want me to talk to you?" He asked confused at the suddenness of her mood. She did say she had mood issues but, he was still caught off guard.

Kaelyn let go and shook her hands. "No, of course not. I just want to know. Usually, I scare everyone away."

"Oh, that's alright?" He asked as a question, not sure what to do. He self-consciously put a hand on her shoulder.

"Eh. It's okay. It's nice to have a friend though." Kaelyn smiled at Mason. She put her hand on his hand that was on her shoulder.

"Okay, good." He said smiling, and took his hand off her shoulder. "So where to" He asked spreading his hands out and spinning in a circle to show the amphitheater.

Kaelyn covered her eyes and spun, pointing. She stopped and was pointing at a trail that went around the ampitheatre. "let's walk that. Then it can be your turn to choose."

"Okay." He heaved then started to walk slowly on the trail.

Kaelyn walked beside Mason, kicking a rock. "So... How's life in the fast lane?" She rose and eyebrow, wondering if he got her reference.

"Fast lane? what" He said even more confused than usual. "What d you mean by that?" He said turning his neck a little.

"Oh, haha. It's a reference from a television show. Never mind that. How is life?" She giggled to herself a little bit.

Oh" He said smiling a bit, hearing her giggle. He scratched his head, thinking."Um, it's going great?" He asked, unsure "How about you?"

"It's fast." Kaelyn didn't know what else to say so she just looked at Mason quizzically.

Sabrina walked into the ampitheater, not really paying attention to any people that were already there. It's not like she had a reason to pay attention, I mean they didn't seem to notice her and if they did they didn't say anything to her. Whatever though, it's not like she'd talk to them, not much of a talker she was to start. Except when Joel was around...she stopped herself. 'Don't hurt yourself again.' she thought. It took her getting to this camp to get over the fact that Joel had vanished and she didn't want to revisit the loneliness that he left her with when he went. Quietly she sat on the stage and put her headphones in, starting the song Beautiful by P.O.D.

Ever wandered into the Ampitheater, unaware she was there. Her nose was stuffed in a book, her blond hair pulled into a messy ponytail, random flyaway strands everywhere. She'd been reading and training constantly, her only breaks were meals and a few hours of sleep a night. She had a slightly crazed look, but unless you stared straight into here eyes, you wouldn't notice. People hurried around, doing who knows what. "Well, if Im here, I might as well stay,"She mumbled to herself, not sure how she could get so lost. She walked quickly, her head ducked, up tot he stage. There was another girl sitting there with headphones in. Ever sat a few feet away, and glanced out of the corner of her eye. The girl looked a bit older than her, and that's all Ever cared to know. She returned back to her book, her knees pulled up to her chin as her eyes quickly scanned the pages, soaking up the story.

Sabrina glanced over and saw a blond girl with her nose stuffed in a book. She didn't look for long, it was obvious the girl was a daughter of Athena and not really looking to strike a conversation, if Sabrina could work the nerve to talk to her anyway. Instead the girl just looked back down at the ground and continued listening to her song, replaying it when it ended and then started to sing. "You stand with the gun in your hand, staring at the wall with the look so sad and, thinking about who really cares, and will they even notice if I just disappear...." she stopped after that line, feeling a bit lonely again but refusing to let the pain show.

Ever looked up, slightly irritated at the singing. She couldn't exactly say anything anyway. She wasnt in the Library, so it snot like she could pull the silent library card. "That sounds like a depressing song," Ever commented, still watching the girl and holding her spot in her book. Ever didnt really listen to that much music. Just reading and working. She tucked suck strands of her long blonde hair behind her ear and watched the girl, hoping she would take the bait and they could have a somewhat normal conversation.

Sabrina glanced up, the song not being so loud that she couldn't hear what the Athena girl said. She turned to the girl and pulled out one of her headphones. "The song isn't depressing. It's about going on with life when it seems like you should just give it up, it's one of my favorites." She said to the Athena child. Sabrina found the girl had a bossy output to her, and Sabrina didn't really get along well with bossy people...
