"Okay," Lucas said, deciding it was probably time to drop it, no matter how much he worried about her not eating. He tried to think of some conversation he could start that wouldn't end in tears, but that would probably not be exactly easy to find.

"Each time you go eat, you should go to the fire, and scrape off a piece of the food, so it'll be sacrificed to the Gods. It should basically be the best strawberry on your plate or something, I guess. I usually sacrifice to my mom," She explained to her.
