by Aeron frowned, Nope. This fight was definitely just beginning. Aeron sprinted to her left toward one of her tomahawks that was imbedded in the dirt. If powers were allowed, she could have gone all "Thor" on her weapon, which would have flown into her hand. Aeron shook off that thought and ran toward her weapon.

Lakoda sprinted after Aeron. She would definitely not get to the girl before she got her axe, so Lakoda slowed down to preserve her energy.

Aeron reached her axe and returned it to her belt, she turned to face Lakoda who had chased her. Running was a bad idea. Aeron thought as she panted, I wasted too much energy. Aeron paused to wait for Lakoda's move.

Aeron brought up her tomahawks to block the strike, but groaned when she noticed an "X" shaped cut across her right forearm. Aeron scowled and lunged swinging the back of her axes at Lakoda's hands in an attempt to disarm her.

Lakoda moved her right arm in time, but lost her left knife. She grimaced at the cut on her left hand. She sent a powerful kick at Aeron's midsection.

Aeron turned quickly wanting to keep the air in her lungs. The kick nailed her in the lower ribs sending her stumbling backwards and landing hard on her side. Aeron groaned but worked past the pain in her side and sent one of her tomahawks flying in Lakoda's direction.

I walk in and see two people. So instead of interrupting I stand to the side, hidden, and watch.

Lakoda rolled to the side, away from the tomahawk. She darted over to Aeron, her knife at the ready.

Aeron wiped away sweat from her brow and huffed. Aeron raced forward lifting her tomahawk and brought it down quickly toward the blade of Lakoda's knife in a desperate attempt to disarm her.

Lakoda was certainly not expecting that and the tomahawk hit the knife, and fell to the ground.

Aeron paused and looked up at Lakoda in disbelief, did she just win? "Did I just win?" Aeron asked in shock, it had been so long since she had won a fight. Kat, Blazer, Oblivious, Stella, Rafael... She had lost to all of them, and hadn't won since. Aeron felt a grin spread across her lips, she wasn't a failure after all!

Aeron smiled, that was one of the reasons she loved fighting with unique weapons, people didn't know how to deal with them.
Aeron smashed the tomahawks in her hands and formed them into a long metal pole. "I think I'm going to head out. I need a nap." She smiled sheepishly, "if you ever want to spar, look me up in cabin number twenty-one. See ya around." Aeron winked and turned to leave the Arenas.

Alara walks into the arena, and looks around. She picks up her spear and dusts her hand with chalk dust. She finds a brick and begins to sharpen the point on her spear point. "Okay, let's do this." She looks towards her two friends, Samara and Bella and tucks her spear underneath her arm.

I look around, so excited about what I see. Everyone was practicing everywhere. Swords were clanging left and right, sparks flying. Okay, maybe not sparks but still it was all pretty cool to watch. As Alara sharpened her spear, I looked around for a sword. I found a really nice one. I had my crossbow back in my cabin but since this was swordfighting I figured I couldn't use it. I started sharpening the sword I found. I looked over at Alara, who was still sharpening hers. "Hey, you look like your're used to this! How do you know when it's sharpened?"

Alara, who was lost in sharpening her spear, heard Samara and turned around. "Well, you just kinda...." She put her finger at the tip of her spear. "Feel the tip to see if it's sharp. I learned how to fight with spears when i was 14 in history class." She takes out a cloth from her pocket and passes it over her spear, making the bronze bright and shiny before stuffing it back in. "Are you good in Arching?"

"Oh. Okay. Well lets see then." I felt the tip of my sword and it felt sharp enough. "Fells sharp to me." I waved it through the air, just to get a feel of it. "Yes." I smiled. "I own a bow and I learned from my father." I cringed at the thought of saying father, missing him terribly all over again.

Alara stepped back and exhaled. She held her spear out in front of her. She charged at Samara before she could speak, scratching her arm with the tip of her spear.

"OW!" I jumped back, feeling a stinging pain. "Alright. No more playing." I grinned and slashed my sword at Alara, missing her by a inch. She was fast. But I was faster!
