Bryce entered the forest, keeping the same pace as Acacia. She was actually here! Bryce tried to keep calm, he remembered how much she could take from a single expression. He tried hard to keep cool, but his hyperactivity wanted him to talk a million miles a minute.
"Just be cool." Bryce reminded himself silently.

I followed Bryce to the forest. I want so badly to tell him about my telepathy, but I vididly remember what happened with Juliette. I definately don't want a repeat of THAT.

Bryce frowned as they moved through the forest, over logs and boulders, and under fallen trees. He didn't know what else to say, or ask. They continued on in silence for a while.
"So you're mother's Demeter." Bryce noted, "So can you control plants and stuff?" He asked her. He honestly couldn't remember if he had asked this question before, but at least it was something to talk about.

"I'm... not sure." I say quietly, relieved he's taking it better than Juliette had. "It dosen't work very well when I'm in the water, so maybe it's connected to the earth an plants, to help support it? Sort of like the story where King Midas' barber told the clump of grass about having the ears of a donkey." I realize I'm babbling, and shut up abruptly.

Bryce hesitantly but slowly moved closer to Acacia and draped an arm over he shoulders in a comforting gesture. "I'm sorry your day's been crappy." Bryce said, his voice sincere, "but it can only get better, right?" He assured her, hoping he wasn't making things worse.

Bryce glanced behind him quickly, hearing snapping branches. Nothing seemed odd, so he assumed it was a squirrel, or raccoon. The Half-blood shook away the idea of monsters and turned back to Acacia. "That's good. So how long have you had your power?" Bryce asked with genuine interest.
