"I don't know. I'm hungry, but I don't think they want us back I'm there." Raiden nodded behind them at the parlor, where a guy with shaky hands turned the sign from "Yes, we're open!" to "Sorry, we're closed!"

"And what is that?" Raiden asked in confusion. He was seriously confused by this whole holiday nonsense. He wished he could just go back to his cabin and stare depressingly out of the window with Geico clawing into his head, maybe Marina there to tease him and lighten his mood every so often. Whoa. Since when did Raiden want a friend?

Raiden nodded to a street lamp. The light flickered on as well as a few others down the street on either side. "Lights. And?"

"Ah..." Raiden murmured. He was beginning to get it now, remembering those old Christmas movies and such. They were those strings of lights that people strung around their trees or houses. Oh, and those creepy light-up Rudolfs/Santas. "Okay then."

"Think about it." Raiden sighed dramatically and gestured around them in a circle. He turned to Marina after putting on a Santa hat. "He's a pasty fat hobo who is unemployed for 364 days of the year." Raiden crossed his eyes and made a creepy face. "That's reason number one."

"Exactly. Reason number three," Raiden came up from behind Marina and gripped her shoulders. "He sees you when you're sleepy. He knows when you're awake. If you're not good, then he sends you a threat by putting coal in a sock hanging over a dangerous fireplace." He whispered into her ear. "Which brings me to number 3."

Raiden laughed and went back to Marina's side. "Even worse? The fat man has the nerve to break into your house and a fireman's suit and a magical bag for children." He looked at her from the corner of his eye and smiled eerily. "Do you want to get in the bag little girl?"
