"Alright. Whatever," I said emotionlessly, and threw the purple shell with gold spots back from whence it ca me; the sea.
I looked wearily out at the ocean, looking sort of pathetically miserable.

Re: The Sandy Beach
Vivian looked out into the ocean, the same thing that the other two were doing, and sighed. "Part of it makes me homesick, the other, it keeps me from going insane." she subconsciously rubbed her left forearm, where the scar from her step-fathers cigarette was.

Re: The Sandy Beach
Vivian looked down at her forearm and back up at lysander. "Nothing. Just a part of my past." she looked at him sternly, as if daring him to say more. She didn't like to talk about her Parents, how her step-father was abusive. How she moved in with her Aunt Kathy at age 7 and was finally loved and cherished. That's who she missed the most, Kathy, and her boyfriend Baako who taught Vivian Crucian, a English-based creole used only on the islands. Now she could speak it fluently, and was never mistaken for a tourist again.

Re: The Sandy Beach
"Someone abused you. Didn't they? Or you did it to yourself. But I don't think that's it. You seem to happy. But then again, I wouldn't know," I said quietly. I cast a quick glance at her arm again. "That's a cigarette burn. I know... I've got them all over my stomach-" I said quietly, but I quickly cut it short. I saw the look in her eyes. The glare, the anger- I flinched, visibly. I looked away and stared in the opposite direction. I berated myself mentally for speaking up.

Re: The Sandy Beach
Vivian sighed, "It was my step father, he was a drunkard and a complete idiot. When I turned seven my Aunt Kathy rescued me from him and my mom. We toured the world togeather, occasionally bringing her boyfriend, Baako along. He taught me the St. Croix Creole called Crucian, thats how shop owners and police men know your not a tourist, gets you discounts and respect. I went seven years without knowing the language, and I'm a Dutch Crusian basically a white person born in St. Croix." Vivian felt a little better getting it off her chest, she missed the islands and the locals and Baako's famous beachside Gelato Shack.

"You're really lucky... In more ways than one," I said extra quiet, almost inaudibly. "M-maybe you could teach me Crucian," I said, even quieter.

Marina stared at the people, eyes wide. Parents..........abusive? Marina's father wasn't abisive, just annoying. This puzzled the daughter of Iris to the point where her head started to hurt.

Squirtle wrote: Christian immediatly let go, his cheeks turning a dark red. He turned his face, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry...." He mumbled.
Vivian sort of blushed. Or at least she thought she did. "Yeah, well...just don't do that again," She told him, not sure if she wanted him to or not.

His face was blank of all emotion and he did't say a word, but he sat her up and held her tightly in his arms.
