Garage and driving around Texas

I enter making sure I still have chronas hand.
I click the open button a land rover flashes.
Suddenly a veinti appears.
I draw my sword cautiously "be gone!"I say to veinti

"Wha? What happened?" As I hear the alertness in Gregor's voice, I ready my scythe in fighting position. "What is it?"

My strike my blade against and it flees "don't worry!"I say pulling chrona overr to the car

"I'm not helpless! I can fight!" I say as I am jerked over. Wind whipped through my hair so the creature must've been fast. "Did it flee?"

"It heeded the warning I reckon!"I said with a grin "Anyway get in!"I said climbing in and starting the engine.

"My dad's rich I learnt to drive at 10!"I said trying to reassure her.
"Plus it can't be much different to driving a chariot !"I said sarcastically.
I began to drive off

After waking up to a light doze, I realized I had been sleeping for hours. The dramatic change in heat startled me as I awoke. It had been a comfortable warm temperature when I fell asleep but when I woke up,the heat had soared. I could hear the constant sound of the air conditioning which I turned on just in case but it didn't reassure me it was working at all.

Unfortunately, I could not see the so called dramatic change in landscape. I heared it was more plain and simple when you looked onto the highway but there were large cities as well by some friends who had visited Texas awhile ago. The noise level was down as well. I was used to the hustle and bustle of the city but it seemed (almost eerily) quiet. But, I'm probably just paranoid.

I'm probably paranoid by the fact we could have been pulled over at anytime by a cop or something. If we did, I could always claim that I was told Gregor was years and told me he had a driver's license to escape the law. But that would leave myself guilty of lying and the feeling of Gregor being arrested. But, I put that aside for now and tried to enjoy what I could. There is no use being worried at a time of peace.

"So where's our first stop?" Curiously, I asked aloud. But I quickly asked another question. "Have you been to Texas before?"

I turned over "A few odd times!"I said quickly turining back to the road "Camp gets fairly boring!"Suddenly a burst of blue aura appeared for a second and then vanish "Were close!"I said grinning

"How do you know?" This could be one of the most curious times of my life. Scratch that. It's second. First is finding out I am a demigod. Now that was a weird instance. "Some kind of magic item of the sort?"

"It radiates magic and that aura just proved it!"I said witha grin.
I stopped the car I could feel something under the ground.
I climbed out opening the door "Lets find a way down!" I said .

I grabbed for the door handle a couple times and finally managed to open it. Before I took a step out of the car, I grabbed my scythe just in case. With swords sheathed and a scythe in my hand, I felt pretty powerful. Exiting the car, I ask "So, where are we exactly? And what do you men 'let's find a way down'?"

"I imagine this library is underground so we find a catacomb and there may be more than that book there !"I said grinning

"Cool!" I excitedly say. "Now, how will we reach these supposed catacombs in the underground? And if we have to climb a latter or something like that, I may have to leave my scythe here. I don't want to risk letting go and toppling down."

I hand her a knife"better armed than unarmed !"I said grinning .

I gesture to my two swords in their sheathes as I feel a knife pressed into my hand. "I have my own weapons, but thanks." I returned the knife. Honestly, I was horrendous at close combat. Sure, I can detect slight movements and touches, but I can't do them as quick as I'd like. I used a scythe because the blade was a long ways away from where I held the staff. Wanting to start, I remember a quote from a book mom would read in her spare time. "Easy is the descent," I quote. Though the rest of the quote I hoped would not come true. I really hoped it wouldn't come to that . . . I really hoped not.

"Come on then!"I said walking ahead

I follow behind.

I clamber down the catcombs and see a book store.
"So what do you think do we go!"I asked

I come down to the catacombs, too. "Huh? Do you see something?" I readied one of my sheathed swords just in case of an emergency and we need to kill some foes quickly.

I spied a Harpy "It's a harpy!"I Said with a hushed tone.

A harpy?! I was deathly afraid of harpies. I had this irrational notion that they were going to eat me for loving poultry. But, I would just have to face that fear and charge into battle if it posed a threat. I gripped my sword and heard the sound of a flap perhaps?

"I sense visitors !"The harpy croaked "A blind one seeking the book of aura show yourself!"

"D-do I go?" I nervously ask Gregor. "Or . . . what do I do?" My eyes are wide open although it doesn't matter much to my sight. I was just shocked for the harpy to notice us. After mulling it over a second, I decided. I decided I wasn't good at deciding. I was too doubtful of myself.

"Oooh and the boy is yet to find the book of masters!"She cackled .

"We approach her but are ready!"I whispered holding my hand out.
