An athletic 15 year old that is often described as the quintessential Apollo girl, Bella is fun, friendly and easy-to-be-around unless you injure her ego. She is competitive in nature and tends to take challenges very seriously, but is usually warm and kind to almost everyone she meets and a good friend to those whom she trusts. It would be wise not believe everything she tell you however as Bella has a tendency to lie for the sake of it sometimes. Multi-talented and adventurous, Bella is easily one of the more popular kids in camp, her friends however, are a select group. Not one to let people walk over her, Bella relies on her good swordsmanship in fights, keep out of fragile territory though and chances are she wont draw her sword. Looking for a friendly game of basketball or a casual conversation over Italian food? Bella is your girl.

Pretty, slightly shy and an idealist at heart, 15 year old Analeigh can be a nice companion and is also great at giving advice. Be warned, she can get slightly narcissistic and having a fragile self esteem, is easily offended. She is extremely loyal to her friends and is a hopeless romantic. Analeigh has the tendency to develop an attachment to most things that wont love her back. In one sense, she sets herself up for defeat, in a normal conversation she overthinks almost everything and guards carefully against letting her defenses down. However, Analeigh laughs easily and makes for comfortable company, she is nice to almost everyone and unlike many children of Aphrodite is not overly concerned with superficial things and instead is capable to spotting the quiet beauty in simple things.

This Indian-origin demigod is at once both similar and strikingly different from his godly parent. Cheerful and friendly and a social delight, Kunal is the perfect remedy if you're having a bad day. Chivalry comes naturally to him and if you need advice about etiquette or fine dining, he's your man. Careful not to stick around too long however or you may find yourself getting roped into one of his risky schemes that more often than not end in trouble. For someone who seems like he stepped out of the pages of a Victorian classic, Kunal has a prominent affinitity for flouting the law and a dangerous lack of regard for any form of authority.

If Socks had to be described in one word, "Eccentric" may be the most appropriate, "unpredictable" would be a close second. At 16, Socks is a new arrival at camp, having spent most of his growing up year homeless on the streets of New York. Being the son of Mania, Socks isn't exactly normal though he would tell you "Normality is simply relative." At 16, Socks is more concerned with figuring out what life means than most teens are, this is when he isnt simple chatting away to clouds or boulders. Exceptionally well read and slightly artistic, Socks has the tendency to be uncomfortably truthful at times. If you see him lying down under the open sky on a cloudy day, you may enjoy a conversation with him or you may be invited to a sing-along with him and his cat, depending on how he feels. Beware of his fits of madness during with he becomes aggressive and even violent, however most times Socks is simply curious, pensive and engaging.

Tides that I tried to swim against
If there is one thing that Percy Jackson simply oozes, it is personality. Outwardly laid back and sure of himself, the reader is privy to the fact that Percy is actually not as confident as he appears and attributes a lot of his own spectacular skills to luck and timing. He is extremely brave, loyal, and capable in terms of problem solving, in other words he is exactly the friend you would want with you when fighting deadly monsters. Percy has a witty and sarcastic sense of humour and tends to look at things differently than most people, this helps him think fast in tough situations as often solutions come to him from the most unlikely of places. As revealed by Athena, Percy's fatal flaw is excessive personal loyalty, while this may not seem like a flaw at first, what it essentially means is Percy would potentially sacrifice the fate of the world to save a friend. While he does not seem to realise it himself, Percy exudes an aura of power and resilience, in Son of Neptune, Hazel notes that he could be the most powerful demigod that she has meet. Like the sea, Percy can be calm and mellow at times and dangerous and potent at others. Like most forms of water, he does not like to be restrained or controlled, obedience does not come to him naturally. He has an inherent trouble-making streak and will not be subdued against his will, by anyone not even gods.
