Cleaning the Kitchen Bites.

Blaine ran through the mess hall and into the kitchen just as the sun hit the horizon, still angry that his consequence for vandalism resulted in the cleansing of the kitchen. He looked back with a raised eyebrow, expecting to see Josephine. Where was she? She had to be close behind with that speed of hers.

"'All by myself'." Blaine sung under his breath with a smirk, picking up a mop and a bucket. He dumped water and bleach into the bucket and began to mop the floors.

Josephine ran in with a slushy. "Thought I would get a drink on the way here." She smiled and handed him the drink. "Want a sip?"

Blaine looked up at the drink with a questioning look in his eyes.

"Germs are dangerous." He replied before grabbing and taking a long sip from the beverage. Blaine handed it back to her, half full. Dang, that was a good slushy...but being a daughter of Hermes...

"...Where'd you get that?"

She took another sip of the sweet icy beverage. "At the 7 11 about two miles away from here." She smirked and set the cup down. "Told you I was fast."

Blaine whistled and smiled.

"Dang. Remind me to never doubt your speed." He smiled cheerfully after tossing her a sponge.

"Now clean something. I doubt want to do all of this by myself."

She quickly caught the sponge and frown. "This sucks." She started to wash dishes.

"Doesn't it?" Blaine grumbled as he mopped the floor.

Josephine quickly put her hair up into a ponytail. "I still don't understand why we have to do this." She continued to do the dishes.

"Because joining is too difficult for people to understand. They can't handle the truth." Blaine pouted as he wrung out the mop. This was unfair!

She smiled. "We can always make this fun?" She hummed and beautiful tune and washed a plate.

Blaine bit the inside of his cheek and raised his eyebrows.

"Oh...I can't sing. At all." He smiled sheepishly while he refilled the bucket. The last time Blaine tried to sing ended in a disaster; his grandmother actually wept and told him politely to stop, as he was burning her eardrums. Singing...wasn't Blaine's strong points.

Josephine smiled and splashed him with some water. "I didn't mean singing silly."

"Well you started humming show tunes, I didn't know what to think!" Blaine laughed as he wiped his face.

She smiled. "Do you know how to dance?" She turned on the radio and suite and tie was playing.

"Ha! No." Again, his grandmother was brought to tears when he had attempted to do so. The only thing he was really good at was speaking and running. Anything else artistic, besides drawing? Nah, Blaine wouldn't be responsible for making some other elderly woman cry.

Josephine swayed her hips and sang along. "Come on it's not that hard. As long as I got my suite and tie...."

"No. Absolutely not. I don't dance." Blaine shook his head fervently and blew out a gust of air. Besides sobbing old ladies, he might break something. Or someone.

She looked at him and let her hair down."what? Dancings so much fun!" She twirled around smiling.

"I'm just gonna take inventory on the refrigerator." Blaine laughed at her and shook his head, walking over the the fridge to stuff his face. What? He didn't eat his dinner!

"Wanna hand me some food?" She finished the dishes.

"Hmm?" Blaine asked with a few chunks of ham filling his cheeks like a chipmunk.

Josephine smiled. "That's a good look for you."

Blaine managed to chew up and swallow the ham (its wasn't made of pig, which confused Blaine. He didn't eat pig, but what the hell was the ham made of?) then wipe his mouth with a napkin.

"Now, now, Josie. You know better than to be eating from the fridge on cleaning duty."

Her jaw dropped."I didn't eat a whole thing of meat!"

"Wouldn't it be a shame if, say...Chiron were to find out of this incident?" Blaine asked with a cunning smile in place, pretending to make small steps in the Big House's direction.
