Date Night

Eli smirked and jumped off landing on a bench. "There." She hopped down and held his hand.

I smiled at her, "Where is this breakfast place you know of?"

"Down the road a little ways...oh they have the best waffles ever!"

"I'll take your word for it. Oh, by the way Prom is tonight, so don't forget about that. You're coming with me." I kissed her nose.

Eli smirked. "Okay." They walked across a place called the Waffle House. "We are here!"

"Sweet," I walked over to the door. I held it open, "After you."

"Thanks!" She skipped in and went to the register.

I followed her to the register.

"Table for two please." She nodde and sat them down at a nearby table.

I sat there still rubbing sleep out of my eyes, "Might not have been the smartest thing to sleep on a roof, my back is starting to hurt."

"I can give you a back massage when we get back to camp." Eli suggested.

"That might be nice," I smile as the waitress walks up.

I looked at the menu smiling.

"What will y'all have?" I waitress said with a southern accent. I looked at Eli, letting her go first.

"I'll have the chocolate chip waffles please."

"That sounds good, I'll have it also." I handed the waitress our menu's. "So, what do you think about prom?"

"Sounds like fun." She smirked.

"Yeah," I said looking at the table. "I've never been to a Camp dance before. I wonder what it will be like?"

Eli nodded and smiled. "I have never been to a dance in general."

"Well when we get back that will change." The waitress came back with our waffles. "Thank you," I said as she left. I unwrapped my utensils, put the napkin on my lap, and started to eat.

I did the same and ate my waffles. "Yum..."

"You are right, these are the best waffles I've ever had," I said between mouthfuls.

Eli nibbled on the waffles softly and smirked.

I finished my waffles and wiped my mouth on the napkin, "That hit the spot."

Eli finished her waffle and rubbed her stomach. "So good!"
