Conner "Judas" Santos had wandered his little way to the lake that hot day in order to avoid any of the loud noise that greeted him in the main part of camp. Was relaxing too much to ask for? He was laying in the sand with his swim trunks on, his scarred torso revealed to the sunlight with forbidden pride. His name was still forever carved into his abdomen: Judas. He took his comb/spear out of his pocket to examine its brown reflective surface in the bright sun.
As he thought about the comb, he hadn't noticed the shadow looming over him. An Ares kid. Soon, by force, Conner became one of those "idiots" splashing around in the water trying to gasp for air. What ever happened to the old-fashioned swirlies?! Some of the people laughed as her was shoved onto a surfboard and pushed farther into the water. Seriously. Surfing at a lake. These people were obviously--
"Ay, Dios mio!" Judas exclaimed as a wave that should be impossible for a lake came in (obviously there was a child of a water god nearby). Forced to surf or die, Conner stood up and wobbly rode the wave.

"I'd love it if you could take your homosexual fantasies somewhere else on the lake or wherever. Thanks," she told the kid in an icy tone. She didn't bother to care about the fact that he might get mad and toss her in the lake or something like that.

After being made a fool of and forced to surf (it was almost like skateboarding), you would think that Judas would be irritated. Enraged, even. But, no, he simply smiled at his tormentors as he washed up on the shore with the surfboard. He calmly handed it back to the kids and shook himself off like a dog would have. He then looked around to see if anyone had any extra towels. Well, there was a weird-looking Ares guy. No. An Aphrodite about a few yards away? They were related in some twisted way, but no, for he actually wanted to smell like a male over "Cocoa Berry Gathered from the Himalayas by Turkish Monks" or whatever. His eyes then landed on a girl who looked irritated more than anything. Smiling, Conner made his way over.
"Excuse me, um. Do you have...una toalha...?" Judas swallowed, trying to say his sentence in his best English. He tried again. "Do you have a towel...extra?"

He had noticed how irritated the girl seemed, but did not care. Conner was a person who ignored petty things such as anger-linked emotions. Responding to such only caused for a fight, in which he might do something that he would regret later on. He knew this first hand as it had happened to him already. So with a smile still on his face (which was relaxed and gentle) he responded to her question.
"You do not have to if...you do not want to. I just, ah, needed to dry off. Gracias." With a small bow, the boy walked in the other direction to where he had been sitting before. After meeting the girl, he realized that he had not settled down too far away from her. Would that be any trouble? Certainly not for Judas. The girl? Well, we'd just have to see.
