Let's go swimming!

Taylor ran into the beach with Mila in tow. It was a surprisingly warm day and the sun shone bright on the beach, making the sand very hot. Taylor shoe caught on a small sand dune and he fell, managing to just let go of Mila's hand before he drug her down too.

Mila laughed and grabbed his hand. "Come on clumsy." She helped him up and couldn't help but smile.

Taylor laughed and accepted the hand. He stood up but didn't let go of her hand. "I'll tell you that sand has it out for me. It has taken me down too many times." He tugged her hand. "Let's go find us a spot."

Mila blushed and looked down at their hands before she was pulled off again. "Woah!"

Taylor finally stopped running and pulling Mila behind him. The spot he chose was a little peninsula surrounded by water. "This looks good doesn't it?"

Mila looked around at the area he had chosen. "It's perfect." She let go of his hand and smiled, taking a deep breath of air in.

Taylor kicked off his shoes, striped off his shirt, shimmied out of his pants and he was left only in his black compression shorts. He took a running start and dove into the water. Taylor surface about 20 feet from the shore. "Come on in!" he called, "The water is fine." Actually it was a little bit cold.

Mila chuckled and stripped down to her bikini. She always wore her bikini under her clothes in case of an emergency swimming secession like now. Mila quickly ran into the water and dove in when she surfaced a huge grin was on her face. "Ahhh that feels great!"

Taylor swam over beside Mila, "I've always like the beach. Reminds me a little bit of home, even if it is a bit colder."

Mila smiled and floate on her back. "Yeah it really relaxes me."

Taylor liked Mila's idea and mimicked her. He floated on his back, just drifting through the water. "You know, you picked a nice day to suggest swimming."

Mila smiled. "Yeah I'm just great like that." She held his hand so they wouldn't drift away from each other. "It really is bice outside though."

Taylor gave Mila's hand a gentle squeeze, "Yeah it is." He floated around in silence for a moment. "You ever miss you life before camp?"

Mila closed her eyes and sighed. "Not really."

"Why not?" Taylor inquired, "Don't you miss your hometown? Your friends? Your family?"

"I didn't really have friends." Mila looked at the bright blue sky and sighed. "I would usually sit at home with my book...trying to avoid my drunk father."

"Oh," Well know Taylor felt like a jerk. "Hope I didn't bring up anything personal."

Mila chuckled. "It's in the past... What about you. Do you miss your family?"

"Yeah. My dad is a pretty cool guy." Taylor said, positioning himself so Mila and he were side by side. "He's one of those magicians that get work in Vegas casinos. That's how he got the attention of Hecate."

Mila smiled. "That's awesome...I've always wanted to see a magic show. All I could do is read about them." Mila looked over at Taylor, her smile growing brighter.

Taylor shrugged, or whatever a shrug looked like floating in water, "Maybe I could take you to one of his shows. I get free passes."

"That would be awesome." Mila chuckled and turned her attention back on the sky.

"I would volunteer to give you a personal magic show, but I suck at mortal magic. Not to mention my real magic kinda sucks too." As carefully as he could, trying not to sink her, Taylor pulled her close and put an arm around her shoulder. It was an awkward position to try and float in, but he managed it.

Mila blushed and tried to remain above water. "Come on you can't be that bad."

Taylor waved his free hand, "Some of my siblings can make animals out of fire and I can make a light beam. Yeah, I suck."
