I walk to the lake and lay a fresh towel down. I stretched out a bit before getting in. It was cold, and it felt great on this hot day. No offense, dad.

I walked to the lake and saw Jace's stuff. I set my stuff by her's and jumped into the water.

How is it that Liane hasn't said anything yet? Ker wondered as he followed her to the lake. Oh boy. So that's why she changed. He was not a water person, courtesy of his dad. He had gone from excited to go to the arena to dreadful by the water. He sat on one of the towels that had been laid out by one of the others, but he wasn't sure who it belonged to.

I came up and saw Jace and Kyler also in the water. "Hey guys," I said.
I got in the lake slowly, but as I was walking, it suddenly dropped off and I fell into the deep, dark lake. I realized I had been standing on an underwater cliff. Smart. I swam back to the surface.

Liane's sudden decent scared Ker. He watched the water anxiously until she bobbed back to the surface. Good thing she was okay. Water was the one thing he avoided.

"You don't want to come with us?" I asked, hoping he caught my drift. I grabbed his hands and tried guiding him to the water.

I come back with my suit on. I run into the water and up to Kyler. I push her down.
"Hey Anders! Wait, what are you do- AUGHHFP" The last part was because Anders pushed me under the water.
"Anders! Don't drown anyone!" I said as I splashed him. He lost his hold on Kyler and she came back up, gasping for breath.

I looked at him, a little puzzled. "Okay," I said softly. I hugged him tightly.

Jace pushed me under so I grabbed her under the water by her ankles and pulled her down. I popped up and sent a wave at Kyler and Anders.

Watching the others go up and down in the water made Ker nervous. He hoped they were okay. They were his friends, after all. Or... at least... his allies. He thought about leaving to go to the arena instead. Swords made more sense to him than water.

I had been expecting another underwater shove, so I had known to take a breath before going under. I continued to poke Jace from underwater.
