The Tears of the Phantom

"Well," Allen began, "The Teumessian Fox, also know as the Cadmean Vixen, was a giant fox that was destined to never be caught that terrorized the ancient city of Thebes. Eventually, a man named Amphitryon came up with a solution. He set the magical dog Laelaps, who was destined to catch all of it's prey, after the Fox. However, I realized that being caught and being killed are two seperate things." he said.

"So why do you want to kill it?" Charlotte shoved her hands in her pockets as she walked.

Shrugging, Allen replied "I want to prove myself as a demigod to my mother, and to my foster father." with his voice gaining a sad tone at the end.

Charlotte looked at him and frowned, she patted his shoulder. "I'm sure they are already proud..."

I grin and say "Thanks, I needed that." I then secure my claw onto my hand and say "You ready? I can hear some monsters up ahead." while unsheathing my sword.

"Yep!" She unsheathed her sword and climbed up a tree.

Peering into the small clearing ahead of them, Allen counted out 5 hell-hounds, two Canadians, and a hydra. Cautiously pulling out some throwing knives from his belt, he let them loose at the Canadians and hellhounds while running towards the hydra.

Charlotte lunged at the hellhounds. She sliced at ones throat while kicking another in the face.

After running, jumping, slicing and killing 2 hellhounds and a Canadian, Allen turned toward the Hydra while rummaging through his bag. After a few seconds, he pulled out a large jug of lighter fluid and a box of matches. After switly drenching his sword in lighter fluid and lighting it on fire, he ran towards the hydra with his flaming sword in one hand, and the lighter fluid in the other.

Charlotte sliced open the other hellhound killing it instantly. She looked at Allen and noticed that he had the hydra under control.

Jumping onto the hydra, Allen waited until the main and largest head moved to bite him, then made it bite and break the jug of lighter fluid, splattering it in the fluid. Then, he cut of each head with his blade before thrusting it downwards, setting the body on fire. Allen then jumped of and walked over to Charlotte.

Charlotte sheathed her sword and clapped. "Bravo."

Allen bowed dramatically, saying "Thank you, thank you. You weren't to bad yourself."

Charlotte laughed and sat down again. "Where did you learn how to fight?"

Grinning widely, Allen replied "With lots and lots of practice. And Trial and Error. And accidental combustion." dead serious.

Charlotte snickered at the end covering her mouth. "Damn..."

Shrugging, Allen lights his claw on fire in a way that doesn't harm his arm. Grinning maniacally, he stalks towards Charlotte with his flaming claw raised in front of his face, making him look evil.

Charlotte watch him. "What do you think your doing?"

Allen started chuckling evilly, before his voice got louder and then it became a malicious cackle. Staring at Charlotte through bloodshot eyes, he replied in a dark tone with "What do you think I'm doing? I'm going to kill you. First, I'm going to break every bone in your body. Then, I'm going to tear your flesh off of you." At this point, the shadows were making Allen appear to be a demon. "Then, I'm going to burn you to a crisp, and finally, I'll resurrect your ghost and force you to watch me devour your flesh." he finished, cackling maniacally.

Charlotte quickly stood up. "Your disgusting...I'm leaving." She darted off with a burst of speed.

Allen sighed and shook his head before extinguishing his claw. "Dammit. I just wanted to scare her a little." he said before walking back to his camp by the boulder.
