Matthew wandered around the Chione cabin. It was considered creepy, but he didn't care. He did this every Thursday, around noon, when people weren't in the cabins. He turned a corner and saw a girl prop up a white scythe against her bed. "Hello." Matthew said to break the silence.

Chióni was very surprised when someone behind her said "Hello" she jumped up and almost hit her head on the top of the bunk bed. "Not very nice to sneak up one someone like that." Chióni said to the guy. "Anyway, what's your name? I'm Chióni" she asked the guy who had just scared her.

"I happen to have the privelege to sneak, as do my half brothers and sisters. Minor underworld gods kids get away with it. But nevermind that, I'm Matthew, a son of Acheron. Welcome to camp, Chioni" he said and smiled in his own way.

"The privilege to sneak? I don't think so. And Hi Matthew. As you probably know as your in the Chione cabin I'm a daughter of Chione." Chióni said to the boy. Matthew then said "Welcome to camp, Chióni" Chióni replying by saying "Thanks, don't really know my way around so not really a camp I know yet." He smiled at her and she smiled back beautifully with her glittering white teeth. She never had to brush them, they always looked snow white.

"Don't know your way around camp yet? Don't worry, someone'll get you a tour or something soon. Maybe ask Lakisha sometime. You learn to like camp eventually." He said. "So what do you like to do in your free time?" He asked.

Chióni's face perked up when Matthew asked her about free time. "I love snow-boarding, skiing, and a-bunch of other winter sports like sledding." Chióni said with a huge smile on her face. "Who is this Achey (Acheron) guy you were talking about anyway don't know him" Chióni said with a frown replacing her usual smile.

"I've always wanted to try snowboarding; it seems like it'd be exciting to sled down a mountain." Matthew said then frowned. "Most people don't know him, but he's the god of pain. I'd demonstrate, but the only living thing within 20 feet of me is you, unless you want to test it out."

"Erm... sure" Chióni said unsurely as she slightly frowned. She nodded at him to try the powers out on her. "Go ahead already" Chióni said as Matthew looked unsure "DO IT!" Chióni screamed.

"Ooookay?" He said. He concentrated for a second, then opened his eyes, pointed his finger at Chioni and sent a wave of pain through the air and into Chioni.

"AGH!" Chióni screamed as the pain went into her. "How dare you" she yelled at him. She wobbled up to him and touched him making him very very cold so that he was burning.

Matthew smiled and moved her finger away from his arm, trying not to wince. "Barely hurts honey, don't try it. Besides, you asked me to." He said.

Chióni was surprised when he said it barely hurt. "What! Not fair." Chióni said and stomped her feet to the ground. She blew her hair to the side so it wasn't in her face, her sparkling blue eyes showing finally.

"Not fair? I'm the son of pain-I'm pretty sure I've spent my entire life resisting it. It's not that hard, just relax your chest muscles and-hey! I can't tell you my secrets!" He exclaimed when he realized he had fallen into a trap.

As if reading his mind "There is no trap here" Chióni said sincerely. Putting a finger on his chest. "Why would you think that there was one" Chióni she said innocently.

Chióni looked at him slightly mystified. "What do you mean what do I think?" she asked again very innocently. She flapped her eyelashes several times like she was innocent.

Matthew slapped his forehead. "When you asked me why I would think there was a trap. A duh" he said and crossed his eyes. Eediots these days! he thought to himself in a Ren-from-Ren-and-Stimpy way

"Hmm... there isn't a snow-boarding hill at this camp? If not it's lamer then I thought." Chióni stated and frowned because there were no winter sports.

Chióni looked seriously looked mad and yelled silently in her mind. "Thats just too bad then." Chióni said. Chióni didn't appreciate it when Matthew smirked so she frowned.
