Ever's Bunk

I walked into the Athena cabin, and found an empty bunk. I set my purple backpack on the ground and sat on the bed. I looked around. I checked my jeans' pocket for my "lip gloss" and stood. I looked around one last time, then left.

I came in, dumped my bag, and laid down. I stuck my lip gloss tube in my pocket. I checked my bag to get my favorite book to read. "Oh shoot," I said. I bet it's in the woods. I got up and scribbled a note for Jordan, telling him I'd be in the woods to get my book. Then i went to leave and, without noticing, my lipgloss fell from my pocket.

I sat down on my bunk, and picked up my lip gloss. I rolled it around in my hand, then laid down.

I didn't look at him. "yes, you should," I said tightly.

I looked at him. "You didn't believe me that plans always work. They do," I said, then looked back to my lip gloss

I rolled my eyes and set my book down. I sat up and sat cross legged. "Not having a plan got us hurt," I counter.

"yes, it is. I knew what we should have done, but you ignored me," I said, narrowing my eyes, challenging him.

"Well, I know a lot more than you in other subjects, so, yes," I said.

I listened to his rant. I looked at him once he finished. I blinked. Then, I burst into tears. "This is why I should have left the second I got here! I shouldnt have come. At least with my Dad, I sort of felt like I knew what I was doing," I cried

I shook my head and wiped my tears away with the back of my hand. "But I supposed to know everything!" I said, "Do you know how hard it is to admit I dont know something?" I asked,

'Oh, you poor thing," I said. "It must suck to not be able to read," I said. I patted his arm. "Could you to teach me?"

I rolled my eyes. "I meant teach me to fight," I laughed, wiping the last tear away.

I patted his arm(non mechanical). "Yeah, a largely muscled guy such as yourself needs to eat," I said, unfolding my legs and getting up. I slid the tube of gloss in my pocket and went to the mess hall.
