    Prom art contest! Princesses

    Hello, Campers! Apollo

Prom is in two weeks, but every prom needs a prom queen and a prom king, right? Well, this art contest is going to decide who it is. This year's prom theme is Once Upon A Time, so you can design one outfit for one of your characters.

What does "Once Upon A Time" include?

Every fairy tale you can think of. An original fairy tale, a Disney, DreamWorks&Co movie, anything really ranging from Sleeping Beauty to Frozen's Elsa, you're free as Dobby!

    How to enter

Create a prom outfit for one of your characters. You can make it any way you like (e.g. traditionally, digitally, etc.). Once you have it uploaded, send it to me or another admin. You have until June 12th, 12 pm CET.

    Rules:

One entry per person. You may not re-enter or alter your image, so make sure it's the way you want it before you send it in by the deadline.
∆ It must be your own creation.
∆ The entry mustn't stretch the page. You can resize it to this easily by using TinyPic and selecting the Message Board size.
∆ Must relate to the prom theme.
∆ Do not claim your image during the voting process, or you will be disqualified. (Feel free to say stuff like, “Oh I see my picture on the list! Yay!” but don't say things like, “My picture is #3! Vote for me!” or "Mine is the one with all the red!")

    About the voting

All the images will be assigned a number and placed into a new poll by the admins. Members will then have a chance to vote for their favorite without knowing who created which. (This makes it so people will be less likely to just vote for their friends.) The poll will last one week. At the end of the week, the admins will announce the winners and deliver prizes; the female character and male character who have the most votes are prom queen and king.

    Prizes:
    1st place: 5000 drachmas
    2nd place: 2500 drachmas
    3rd place: 1000 drachmas
    Disqualified entries: 0 drachmas
    All other entries: 50 drachmas

If you have any questions about this art contest, feel free to reply to this announcement!

    Some inspiration for the Gentlemen:

(Note: I chose to post cosplay pictures instead of the actual characters's pictures because it is not them you gotta draw, but your character dressed up as them ;) )

    Hello c:

I was wondering if you could gender-swap characters?

I'm afraid not, bro, seeing your character (if he/she wins) is prom king/queen. Or are you meaning cross-dressing? Because cross-dressing is fine ^^

Say I want my character to dress up as Sergeant Calhoun, but my character is a boy. That counts as cross-dressing, right?

I wouldn't really call that cross-dressing. I mean, it could still be cross-playing I guess, but ehh. If you designed a male equivalent of Sergeant Calhoun, so like what she would look like when male, but then put that outfit on your character instead. Then, that'd be okay. So, you could have the outfit of the male equivalent.
    For example;
    http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2014/093/6/f/elias__elsa_male_version___disney_s_frozen_by_hadukoushi-d7cwrm5.jpg
    That's a male Elsa outfit.
But not cross-dressing. Cross dressing is wearing the clothing of the opposite gender. Those are still male clothing.

It doesn't stretch the page for me... If you're on your phone, it almost certainly will. Or on a lower resolution screen. Ill consider resizing it later though.

Complaining about it isn't going to make it any better. People need time to work on their art, too.

I have a question; Do we have to draw the character with the outfit because I really can't draw people but I can draw pretty dresses and such...?

You are not obliged to draw the features of the character, but draw the body and the dress on it ;)

Hey! I drew one of my characters and for anyone who has seen this character or RP'd with him/her it's blatantly obvious who it is. Would it still be okay to send it in?

Technically, everybody who has RPed with a character drawn for the art contest may know who it is, so I don't think it's problematic, I mean, the rules are to draw one of your chars cosplaying as a fairy tale person.

Question, are we still allowed to participate in prom without drawing the costume. Can we just like, idk describe the costume? I really dont have enough time to draw a costume and yeah.
