The Aphrodite cabin

"I've heard what he can do. The son of Himeros. He isn't one for a long relationship. But he is gorgeous.. And guess what? He's taking me to a private location, he's got a huge boat and its extremely perfect." Darcy smiled.

"He's taking you on his boat?" All the girls gasped and opened wide, glittering eyes.

"So jealous," Kennedy moaned with a pout.

"Well, you're in for a treat," Daryl said. "When are you guys leaving?"

Gianna glanced at Cleopatra, but the queen bee had nothing but a light, gentle smirk on her face.

'We're leaving soon." She supplied. She twisted her hair round her fingers. "Pretty exciting, huh?"

"Ohh you're so lucky," Kennedy said again.

"I'm so happy for you!" Daryl congratulated her. "I hope you have a fun time, like a really fun time."

Cleopatra's lips curved into a lazy smile as Cecily continued: "You'll have to tell us all about it okay? I can't wait to hear it all!"

"After all," the Queen Bee finally said, "this could be your chance to become part of our group Darcy."

She tilted her head. 'Part of your group? You mean...actually being noticed..?'

"It's your choice," Cleopatra said as all the girls watched in silence. "You see, we're a kind of exclusive group here. It's not just a question of being hot and popular. And to get in.... you need to do something."

Darcy nodded, slightly nervous. 'Do something...like what? That Aphrodite's Rite Of Passage?'

"Exactly. You gotta break someone's heart," Cleopatra smiled sweetly and took the cucumber slices off her lids, her large, luminous green eye glittering as she looked over to Darcy. "You're going off on a trip with Cyrus. Good place to start, don't you think?"

Darcy suddenly realized. 'Oh gods, no....Not...Not Cyrus. Any other guy..not him.'

"Too late sweetie," Cleopatra said, wiping the mask off her face with a kleenex. "A deal is a deal. If you don't like it, you can always go and hang out with the loser crews."

"You don't wanna hang out with them," Kennedy assured her.

"What are you complaining about anyway? Do you know whose heart I had to break to get in?"

"You mean Jay? But he's like, super hot."

"He kisses like a washing machine!"

Darcy hesitated. "I..fine. I-...i'll try to do it."

"Wonderful! Looking forward to having you in the group." Cleopatra gave her a shimmering smile before accepting a back massage from Kennedy. Gianna was still busy with her nails and Natasha was doing her feet.

It would be interesting to see how this played out. She doubted Cyrus would get his heart broken because he just didn't fall in love, everything he did was for his personal interest. He had crushes, flings, but had he felt actual love for anyone before? As a daughter of Aphrodite, she knew he hadn't.
So if Darcy failed, she wouldn't get into the group and would probably get her own heart broken. It would also teach her who she was allowed to mess with, and who she was not, Cleopatra thought with satisfaction.
If she won though... then that would be a good lesson for Cyrus. A very good one. And would work perfectly in Cleopatra's favour. Whichever way this went, she would win.

Darcy nodded, quiet. She was thinking about her decision, if it would end up well, or not. She felt controlled. She didn't want to break anybody's heart, for that matter. She was an overall nice person, who wouldn't dream of breaking hearts to be accepted.
