by Okay. So, this was discussed over in the plotting forum, but now we're hosting a rather large site-wide event.
Here's the plot for this.
Two major factions form in Camp Half-Blood; the War Hawks and the Doves. The War Hawks consist mainly of demigods that didn’t fight in the Titan War and wish to prove themselves by having an offensive against the Romans. The Doves do not want a war to break out since they had already fought in the Titan War. Currently, the Doves are in control of the Camp politically since some of the major demititans are aligned with them. However, the War Hawks gain popularity when several demititans side with their view on the Romans and begin to raise support for their cause. The War Hawks, feeling bold, secretly obtain a quest from the Oracle to steal two items: the Palladium and the Sword of Peleus in order to insure they can win against the Romans. When the group of questers return, the War Hawks feel invincible and try to crush anyone who opposes their agenda by attacking the Doves.
Here's what the items can do;
Palladium:
Provides safety and protection (original purpose)
Weakens ALL powers (including those of magical objects besides the Palladium) within a radius of 25 ft, the closer you are to it the less powerful your powers are (will be completely nullified within 2-4 ft of the Palladium)
Any powers performed on the outside of the Palladium’s power reach will have its effects nullified upon reaching the Palladium’s power barrier (shown as a small ripple in the air)
Palladium is indestructible
Sword of Peleus:
Promises victory in battle
Side Effects:
Paranoia (everybody out to get him/her and wants the Sword at all costs)
Burning that would be unable to be healed by magical means (like Lucifer from Supernatural)
Right now, we're looking for people who wish to sign up to be on the quest.
Each quest will consist of 5 people, and there will 2 quests. One for each item. The quests will run side by side.
The Palladium shall be located in Egypt, as it was moved there from Rome for safe-keeping (thats the story we're going with).
The Sword of Peleus will be located in Mexico (cause it was stolen and hidden there)
You may sign up 2 characters for this quest.
These 2 characters must be characters you wish to be warhawks, no doves are involved.
Sign ups for Warhawks vs Doves will be at a later stage (you will only be allowed to sign up 3 for each side at most)
1 member on each quest will have a DT, so we need 4 additional people on each. (The DTs shall be selected from those currently with them)
If we receive more than 8 sign ups, then we shall use a randomiser to select the members going on this quest.
Sign ups will last 1 week, so will be closed at some point next sunday, 14th September.
The Quests will last 1 month. Or around that time.
If you do get selected for the quest, you must make sure you post. If you do not post frequently enough, then your character shall be taken away from you, and given to someone else to continue the RP, and you shall not be allowed to use that character again until after that Quest.
