Blue's Bunk
Blue walked in with her backpack slung over her right shoulder. She pursed her lips when she saw her old bunk. She went over and set her bag on it. She looked around casually, her brown hair falling in her face. She tied it back into a ponytail and turned to her stuff to start unpacking.

Re: Blue's Bunk
Lakisha strode into her cabin, followed by her pet lynx Salomo. A burst of cold wind brushed through her braid and she looked at the girl who was unpacking, recognizing her.
"Welcome back," she said in her haughty voice, looking at her with her mismatched eyes.
She was wearing a pair of navy Chanel trousers with a Roberto Cavalli shirt and a beige blazer, her bow and quiver on her shoulder. Her mismatched eyes were defined by a line of khol and silky nude eyeshadow, her lips hinted at by a brush of translucent gloss.

Re: Blue's Bunk
Blue jumped slight as a voice spoke behind her. She turned around and saw Lakisha, recognizing her almost immediately. "Oh, um, hi." Blue said, blushing softly. She looked down and away from the girl and her pet.

Re: Blue's Bunk
Lakisha went to get her sun glasses -- her eyes were more sensible to the sun than other's -- and put her weapons on her bunk. She quickly let her gaze sweep across the pictures on the wall (her father, her friends back in Sweden, Spencer, Sol, her at a biathlon race, as well as the beautiful mountain wallpapers) before turning back to Blue.
"You look a bit tired," she told her. "Do you want to come with us to the Amphitheater tonight or do you want to sleep early?"

Re: Blue's Bunk
Lakisha looked back at her while Salomo rubbed his head against her calf before pouncing on a bunk.
"Why, we are having the daily evening meet up. Singing, marshmallow roasting and such."

Re: Blue's Bunk
Blue nodded as Lakisha spoke. Did she want to go? She was tired but she wouldn't mind having marshmellows. And perhaps her new friend would be there. She smiled slightly. "Okay. I'll come," she said softly.

Re: Blue's Bunk
Lakisha just haughtily nodded, then took a book from her trunk and went to read it in her favorite armchair, right next to the fireplace.
It wasn't an actual fireplace as they never lit anything there, but the logs were encased in a block of ice shaped like blazing flames, some LEDs hidden underneath to give the illusion the ice was casting flickering blue lights across its surroundings. It looked beautiful. Crossing her legs with elegance like she had been taught to by her grandfather, she opened her book and started reading.
"We get up at eight tomorrow morning," she informed Blue, not taking her mismatched eyes off the page she was reading.

Re: Blue's Bunk
Blue nodded and turned back to her unpacking. She pulled out a few books and a picture. She looked at the picture of her father and smiled sadly. She sat down on hrr bed and stared ar the picture. She sniffled a little, her eyes starting to water.

Re: Blue's Bunk
After a few minutes, Lakisha looked up from her Swedish historical novel, hearing sniffing sounds. Blue was on her bunk, her eyes watering, sniffling, while holding a picture in her hands. Lakisha waited a bit before standing up and giving her a fresh tissue from a box in her trunk.
"Here," she said. She didn't ask if she was alright, because the answer to that question was obvious. "If you need to talk, I'm here."

Re: Blue's Bunk
Blue looked up and took the tissue. "Thank you," she said quietly. She cleaned herself up and attempted to smile. She hung picture and then moved back to admire it. "How's it look?" she asked softly, turning to look at Lakisha.

Re: Blue's Bunk
Lakisha looked at the picture of the man. He was perhaps forty, forty-five years old and had Blue's eyes, his brown hair a shade lighter than hers. He looked a lot like her, or rather, Blue looked a lot like him.
"Is it your father?" she asked.

Re: Blue's Bunk
Blue nodded, a real smile appearing on her face before she looked back at the picture. "This was taken at our old house in Seattle," she said. "I was trying to get Dad to just take a nice picture but he kept making silly faces. I don't know how I managed to get a nice picture, but I did." Blue studied the picture slightly, memories floating around her head.

Re: Blue's Bunk
Lakisha nodded. She couldn't really relate to what Blue was saying, her father had never -- never -- made any silly faces. At least, not that she knew of. Her father was a rich, high-positioned employee of the bank Goldman-Sachs, and just imagining the way he'd look if he so much as stuck his tongue out felt just wrong.
"Your father is very different from mine," she finally said. "Is he safe?"

Re: Blue's Bunk
"He's safe." Blue said. She played with the hem of her shirt and turned around. "What was your dad like?" she asked. Lakisha had said that their dads were different. She wanted to know how.

Re: Blue's Bunk
"What is my dad like," Lakisha corrected. "He's alive." She looked at the picture of Blue's dad for another moment before turning away. "He's a very polite man. Always well-mannered, keeping his temper under control, never one outburst," she said, saying the good things that came to her mind. She could also say he was a calculating and distant person who rarely showed any warmth, not even to his own daughter. He was very close to his father in that. "I don't see him that often anymore," she continued calmly. "He is all the time in New York while I'm in Sweden... well, used to be in Sweden. Now I'm out of boarding school, I'm here year round."

Re: Blue's Bunk
Blue listened as Lakishq described her father. Shevsaid only good things about him but it sounded mechanical or rehersed. "He sounds lovely," she replied. "Sweden? What was that like?" She hoped that with the change of subject, Lakisha would feelvmore comfortable.

Re: Blue's Bunk
"My father is a very interesting person," she replied. "We get along perfectly."
Which was true. Lakisha didn't need big love or affection outbursts, she wasn't that type of person. She had a bigger personal space bubble than most people, so a father and grandfather who kept a reasonable distance was perfect. She loved her father of course, but she was glad they both had both subconsciously agreed on not being what she called clingy.
"Sweden is beautiful. Most of the pictures above my bunk are taken there," Lakisha replied. "There is everything there: flat meadows, cliffs, fjords, mountains, beautiful cities, northern lights... There is also a hotel I love, a hotel made of ice. I took our sister Cassie there last winter, when she went skiing with me."

Re: Blue's Bunk
Blue listened intently as Lakisha spoke. "Interest is always good." Blue said, not completely sure of what she was saying. She smiled as Lakisha spoke of Sweden. "I'm sure Sweden was gorgeous." she said quietly. "Unfortunately, my life isn't as interesting as your life. But I like it that way."

Re: Blue's Bunk
"You should come one day," she said. "To Sweden, Norway, Finland or Iceland, it really is worth it."
She had wondered what she meant by saying my life isn't as interesting as yours. Was that irony? She didn't say anything but noted it in her head.
"How long has it been since you last were here?" Lakisha asks.

Re: Blue's Bunk
I'd like to come one day." Blue replied. As Blue listened to Lakisha's question, she looked down in thought. "Three years." she answered. She looked around a bit. "Its changed since I've been gone. Or maybe I've changed..." her voiced dropped to a whisper at her last sentence.

Re: Blue's Bunk
"Three years? Three years ago, this cabin wasn't here. It was built last year, after the Second Titan war. Before that, all of us were in the Hermes cabin, but I think your bunk was transferred." She smiled, then a cold wind wail through the cabin, blowing the snow dust from the floor, forming it into a cloud in the air and howl across the cabin like a blizzard before settling down again. "Yeah, that happens every fifteen minutes," Lakisha smiled, brushing the snow flakes from her dark auburn hair.

Re: Blue's Bunk
"I hope you like it here. The Athena designed the cabin but the Hephaestus built it. Then we made our little arrangements."
She gestured at the ice that was almost in every corner of the cabin, encasing the wood of the bunk beds, the icicles forming a chandelier overhead, the ice statues of Khione both inside and on the balcony, and of course the ice flames in the chimney.

Re: Blue's Bunk
Blue looked around and took it all in. "Oddly enough, I feel at home here." she said. She smiled as she looked at the chandelier. "Its all so beautiful," she stated.
