Kendall Norris, daughter of Ares, age 18 - lesbian: This highly friendly child of Ares is probably one of the least intimidating of her siblings. She's always willing to help and has a strong moral compass that some of her siblings might be missing: she can't stand seeing people abusing their powers (of any kind), so she doesn't get along with many of the more violent kids in her cabin who like to bully others. Once she's been set off, she's pretty damned hard to stop; she throws wild tantrums and is more than willingly to destroy things/the target of her anger, and really only stops when physically restrained or the person in question is far, far away. She loves helping people as long as they aren't harming others or themselves, but tends to get a bit peevish when people ask too much of her. Ken isn't exactly the brightest star in the sky, but she tries her best to keep up with others' thought processes without developing an inferiority complex. She loves to train constantly and highly respects other people who can match or best her in combat. She has a pet boar named Mars who likes to annoy her by constantly begging for attention; he too is a bit hot-headed at times. Kendall arrived at camp at the age of 12, blood streaming from her head but with no memory of how she had gotten there or what her past had been; though she wants to venture out into the world to find her mother, she fears that what she would find will be... less than desirable.
Archer Benoit, son of Hecate, age 14 - heterosexual: This shy son of Hecate is much more well-known for his defensive shield powers than his offensive explosion powers. In fact, he can't even do the latter thing at all. His twin sister, Claire, was a very domineering and charismatic, rather manipulative individual, excelling in fighting with her offensive explosion-related powers; Archer, however, is a pacifist (and is pretty bad at fighting, too) and rather gullible, a pushover with little backbone. He dislikes talking to people for fear of being judged or taken advantage of, but does tend to get into people's good graces easily for his humility, his loyalty, and strong desire to make people happy. He is soft-spoken and gets flustered very easily, turning red in the face and ears as he stutters and flails his arms -- an odd habit he picked up watching cartoons as a young child in France. Archer's nervous habits include running his hands through his hair, shuffling around nervously when he's a little too excited, and biting his nails; he finds that he is always unconsciously moving, probably to offset the awkwardness surrounding his inability to contain his emotions. He likes to pretend he's stoic, but he's really not.
Avie, daughter of Soter, age 15 - ???: This slouching bookworm has a tendency to be a little too blunt when you talk to her. She doesn't think sugarcoating helps anyone, and that flattery is probably one of the most dangerous things to a person's growth as a decent member of society. Her inner anger is inflamed whenever somebody either gives him-/herself too much credit or doesn't try to live up to expectations: she claims people must try their best in the world, not slouch around. Her sarcastic personality tends to be confounded with this, however, giving people the impression that she's mocking them when really she's just looking out for them, if in a slightly offensive way. Preferring to stay inside and read or write on her computer, Avie has a mind geared towards literature in general: she understands the content well and likes to research the books' backgrounds, sources, etc, in her free time. She has a very introverted personality: she is slightly shy, but not afraid to speak -- this demigod finds it emotionally exhausting to be with people for too long, and thus avoids it if she can. When she does talk to people, it's very easy to see why many call her strange: she likes to ramble and be deadpan every moment of the conversation, pointing out the most ridiculous things as if they were normal. Thanks to her father Soter, Avie inherited a very strong desire to protect the things she loves -- to the point where it's almost stifling for the objects of her overprotectiveness and dangerous for her. For example, she almost got hit by a car trying to save her hellhound puppy, Odin, from being run over in the middle of the road; she escaped with minor scrapes and bruises, but with a very happy puppy.
Stella Acerbi, daughter of Ouranos, age 17 - bisexual: This enormously cruel demititan has made it her life's goal to harass and, perhaps, kill as many 'inferior' demigods as she can until the wrath of the gods finally strikes her down. She relies constantly on her large range of air-related powers and skill at sword-fighting to achieve this and likes to sadistically beat and humiliate her enemies into submission before delivering a final blow. While prone to periods where she can be almost kind to others, Stella has little respect for most demigods outside of her circle of fellow demititans and her sisters Tempest and Aidan, as well as her cousin Benji (most of whom do not approve of her actions at all). She cynically believes that the demigods currently alive today are nothing compared to her and her fellow demititans, and so she must establish their dominance by knocking out as many 'arrogant, wannabe tough-guys' as she possibly can. Despite her extreme skill at fighting, she is pretty damn whiny when it comes to getting hurt by blowing it out of proportion -- she trained herself to be fast and dodge/teleport away from most attacks, but she can't take a hit if it comes to that. In a sense, Stella's physically delicate. She is plagued by a talking grape named Bob, as well as a chronic fear of Gaea and losing her sisters, who are really the only people she cares about.
Aidan Acerbi, daughter of Pyriphplegethon, age 13
Tempest Acerbi, daughter of Aeolus, age 5 - ???: This bubbly child likes big yellow Tonka trucks and running them straight into things. She is very dependent on her older sister Aidan to take care of her and, you know, keep her away from sharp knives or desk corners. While she does have a slight grasp of her powers, she is still unable to control it for longer than twenty seconds; Aidan's refusal to let Stella near her for long periods of time has hindered most training efforts (although she's very justified in doing so). Tempest is very naive, as small children tend to be, and rather excessively playful and friendly; she believes all this fighting mumbo-jumbo is simply a large game that everybody around her is in, and that everyone is her friend if only she badgered them enough. She is incredibly clumsy and prone to small temper tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants, constantly wailing for her mother when Aidan refuses to get her extra jello or such. (Their mother gets an IM basically once every couple of days, at this point.)
Nelly Contreras, daughter of Apollo, age 18 - asexual: This fretful healer sometimes wonders whether or not it was a mistake to sign up for constant infirmary duty. She has a strong motherly tendency to nag her patients, sometimes going rather far in this role by scolding them for getting in to such 'dangerous' situations. She gets incredibly defensive very easily, especially about the infirmary; she believes it is very well-kept and organi -- yes she knows there's an arrow in that ibuprofen bottle, but that doesn't happen a lot. She is a perfectionist who meticulously keeps everything around her clean and/or tidy as best she can; she likes to make order in a world of disorder, to put it pretentiously. Nelly is a optimist at heart, believing everything will turn out well in the end; her opinion of this is unswaying to the point where it's almost naive. She is very talented at both healing and archery, having been considered a prodigy in the latter and having trained for years at the former. Her bow is unbreakable and she possesses several magic arrows enchanted by Hecate kids, ranging from music arrows (like Michael Yew's) to arrows that light themselves on fire. Very hardcore.
Benji Acerbi, daughter of Kuk, age 17 - heterosexual: This monotonous daughter of Kuk really hates the sunlight, but rightfully so. Being the daughter of a god of shadows, she likes to stay inside or in dark places; she never had the classic childhood fear of the dark, especially monsters under the bed or in the closet. If she wanted to, she found at the age of seven or eight that she could simply move them somewhere else -- much to her uncle's consternation. (Her mother Antonia, Aidan's aunt, had died when she was but a babe, so Benji was taken care of by her mother's younger brother Fred.) Benji's mind works very fast at solving problems and rearranging things into proper order; she can draw up information she had learned years ago in only a few seconds, as clear as if she had learned it only ten minutes before. She dislikes interacting with people to the point of being called, incorrectly, antisocial by her cousins Stella, Aidan, and Tempest; she only dislikes speaking to them because people are just so damned stupid. She is very pessimistic and has a tendency to, apparently, talk to herself at times -- but this is only her speaking out loud to her pet snake Terron, a rattlesnake who can talk to anyone telepathically. They have a love-hate relationship: Benji would like to step on him sometimes for always trying to sass and/or mock her, but he is incredibly useful in combat for sneak attacks and distractions.
Dana Morris, daughter of Odyne, age 15 - pansexual:
Mason Whatshisname, son of Hermes, age 14 - Heterosexual: This mischievous son of Hermes can get away pretty fast with his winged sandals. Having been an orphan at a young age, he was rarely disciplined well by the caretakers at the orphanage he lived at for about eight years of his life, so he's maintained a relatively rebellious streak for most of his life. He is very sly and clever, quick on his feet for fast getaways whenever he takes a fancy to something and, you know, steals it. Mason has a bit of a stuttering problem, which is just a normal occurrence -- not something that happens when he's, say, nervous. Though he has many acquaintances, it's hard to say he has many friends; the boy likes to flutter around and socialize with many people, but never for long -- just until he gets what he wants. He is never intentionally malicious when he does such things, but is rather selfish in that he doesn't really care about the aftermath for others as long as he gets what he wants. While Mason does have a slight difficulty forming friendships, he doesn't really care to toss them away if he can get something better out of it.
Beatrice "Bee" Callaghan, daughter of Melisseus, age 13 - asexual: This confused daughter of Melisseus just wants to go home.
Darwin Lafayette, son of Hephaestus, age 16 - Heterosexual: This crafty son of Hephaestus doesn't like to talk to people. It's not because he hates interacting with others -- far from it. But his mind is usually wandering from subject to subject, and he finds it difficult to concentrate on one thing for too long. He walks and acts as if he is in a daze: he mumbles incoherently constantly and has to repeat himself louder and slower than before just for people to understand him, he tends to have a blank or pensive look on his face at all times, and he's got poor memory, which implies he might not have been listening to you when you told him about that thing that one time. He is constantly disorganized, as evidenced by his very messy bunk area and the corner of the armory that he usually frequents, with papers tacked up everywhere in no particular pattern and pieces of metal haphazardly tossed around. It's not to say that he's careless, but he is rather clueless. Darwin loves forging and metal-working, but his favorite pastime is repairing or recreating clocks, especially old antique ones that are found in dusty old shops.
Lucy Smith, daughter of Somnus [First Cohort], age 15 - pansexual: This sleepy daughter of Somnus is probably one of the laziest people you'd ever meet. This is more because of her father than anything: being the god of sleep, she really just dislikes going out and doing things rather than, say, sleeping. This drowsiness is only slightly lessened with the effects of coffee, but since she hates the stuff she never tries to use it. When she isn't going off into lala-land, she is extremely introverted, preferring to be alone with her own rushing mind. When Lucy does speak, it's often very awkward and clear that she's uncomfortable; she's never prepared to talk to people, and since she always thinks before she speaks, she finds everyday conversations difficult to go through. She hates confrontations, although because she's so intelligent her mind works a mile a minute and can, with the right amount of evidence, often prove people wrong if she so wishes.
Dorian Mortimer, legacy of Mefitis [Third Cohort], age 16 - gay: This judgmental legacy likes to believe he's on top of the world. He came from a relatively rich family: his father was a popular lawyer and his mother taught at a high-end private school, so he was never wanting in anything but a bit of ambition. He was fairly unpopular at school for his venomous tongue and pompous airs, but he still nevertheless gathered a small circle of friends who shared his arrogance or stroked his ego. Often he judges people by their appearances, and avoids or talks to them based on what he perceives them to be; even when his judgement is proven wrong, he rarely will change his attitudes. Dorian is careless when he speaks to people, but if they get offended, it's not his problem.
Ellie Johnson, daughter of Dionysus [Hunter], age 17 - ???: This serious Hunter has a thing for flouting society's standards. Being from the 1920s, those around her had been centered around glamour and pomp, although she tended to despise such things thanks to her mother, who would have been the very best example of these materialistic attitudes had she lived into the 1920s and were a bit younger. Ellie, fortunately, takes after her grandmother. She is a serious person who is inclined to be pessimistic, with a wonderful knack for angering people by stomping all over their hopes. She has a very dry sense of humor, if it exists at all. It is easy for her to be ruthless, to the point where she's been willing to sacrifice innocent people's lives in order to lure a monster to its death; she has expressed a desire to improve on this, but hasn't made any progress. She is fiercely independent and loathes asking for help, to the point where she'd sulkily approach the person in question and not even get to the point until a long time after. She likes being very organized, keeping her tent in the best order possible. She is normally very calm, stoic even, and has trouble expressing emotions verbally. She tends to talk to herself at times in order to organize her thoughts, often hiding away in her tent or behind a tree away from the other Hunters to do so. She is patient, but when somebody hits her limit she tends to go off like a bomb -- glaring one moment, and then full-on shouting somebody down in another. She has no trouble with freely telling the truth, but she has a horrible time with lying; she thinks it's below herself and, whenever she does have to lie, tends to give it away through her body language.
