Making a Move

"Thank you and it is my second time." Well second time at slow dancing, he wasn't that bad at dancing but few Demigods excelled at dancing save those who practised a lot or those who were born with natural dancing skills. Valerie unfortunately lacked either, dancing had never been a skill which she possessed.
Slow dances generally went with the music she preferred, especially swing music or Jazz, it was so much better than all this new modern nonsense being produced nowadays. Yet, there were some nifty features in this time period, for one these video game things were pretty sweet.

Alexander continued to sway their arms and move in a square, he's pretty much getting the hang of it. He took a close observation on their feet, making sure he won't accidentally step on her. A decision on going to the dance is something he almost missed, it was a good thing that he rage quitted after failing for the 23rd time on a mission at one of his new games at his specially customized PSP. Some kids on the Hephaestus' cabin had been good enough to improve his PSP and develop a new game for him. It was basically like some other game out there, it was pretty addicting too. "You know, you're the first one I've ever danced with. It's a pretty eventful night." He kept the same movements keeping in sync with the music's rythm.

She smiled up on him enjoying the slow dance, it was always nice to dance with someone, it was much nicer to dance with someone who made your heart leap and electrified you with their touch. "That it has been." The song neared it's end, having been one that she regularly listened to Valerie could tell.
Part of her did not want the song to stop, however all good things must end. Even dances like this one.

"When it's all over, you know, the Winter Dance? I'd like to ask if-if...." Alexander took a deep breath. The song has stopped and most of the dancers took their seats. Alexander escorted Valerie to their seat. He took his mojito and finshed drinking it. "As I was saying... D-do you want to hang out with me sometimes? Alexander said. His heart raced even faster, it felt like it could just rip out of his chest anytime soon. He his shaking hand beneath the table and kept on tapping his feet. He was nervous, if it's a yes, he has a opportunity, if a no, it's just another rejection.

At first Valerie thought he was about to ask her out judging from how nervous he was acting, which would have been too soon in her opinion. They had only really just met at this dance, but true love and all of that stuff that Aphrodite loved. She moved a few wrinkles out of her skirt, wishing that she was wearing something less feminine, she would rather be wearing something more Valerie than this but she did looked good in it.
But back to his question.
"Sure that would be cool." Ah cool, a favourite word she noticed, a lot of things were cool and not just the temperature.

"Y-you cool with that? Thats awesome!" He said with a big smile. It's not just awesome, it's the best. Valerie agreed to go and hang out with him, a step closer to going out with each other. Alexander got a soothing feeling after hearing her answer and is able to breath normally once again. It's still a challenge for him as to where would they hang out and what would they do. First thought came to his mind was going to the Game Room. A few more ideas he got was maybe visiting her in her cabin or inviting her over to his cabin, but those would be boring places, nothing much to do. He also though of going to the beach, maybe another option, but it's still too cold for a swim. He went and chose the game room, gaming is probably one of his favorite pass times. "Are you busy tommorow? If not, would you like to join me in the game room? Playing alone aint that fun." He said with a neevous smile.

"Erm..." Valerie needed to think as to what she had planned for tomorrow. Archery practice then probably the climbing wall, after that a shower as well as a much needed change of clothing then she could stop by and hang out for a bit. "Yeah sure I'm free after I've done a bit of archery practice and hit the climbing wall." She left out the part of needing a shower, it wasn't something she wanted to admit here, just yet.
Valerie would feel better tomorrow anyway, she would be in her sort of clothing rather than this sort of finery, she wasn't used  to it and it oddly didn't feel like her.
